I've used JHB removals twice now. Both times I found them to be reliable, reasonable and to have great customer service. I was a demanding customer in second and most recent move: I ask for multiple changes to my move request, and they graciously helped me problem solve on the day when I made a mistake on vehicle restrictions. Robyn in particular was of great help and is a pleasure to engage with.
Treated like ******* by the manager on duty Saturday 8 March 2025 at about 12.30 at customer services (the financial services till). We were trying to exchange white pants. The till attendant pointed out a mark on the seam from dust we were unaware of and we admitted that it did look dirty. The manager came over, did not greet us, snatched the pants and shoved it under our noses saying we can’t return it in this condition and began lecturing us about the state of pants. Despite her rudeness we accepted her statement and asked politely if it there was an option to clean it. She said no and continued to lecture us about a the pants not being sellable (we’re talking about a smudge of dust here). When we told her she was speaking to us rudely but accepted the decision and would like the pants back, she flinged it at as and smirked as we walked away. We have no issue being denied the return if it truly wasn’t acceptable, but to be berated publicly and treated like ******* when we were being calm and compliant is really unacceptable. This manager has no idea about “customer service” or frankly just a treating people with politeness or basic dignity.
