I purchased a dress at 'Occasions' in Canal Walk and after trying it on properly at home, decided it did not fit properly. The next day I attempted to return the dress, which was in its original condition and still had the tags on it. I was told that I could not exchange it, nor get my money back. I explained to the sales assistant, Nandi, that the Consumer Protection Act affords people the right to choose and the right to exchange goods, provided that they are in the same condition in which they were received.

She was very sarcastic in her response and told me that she didn't know about any Consumer Protection Act. She also said that she wanted nothing to do with my issue and that I should email the owners of the business who live in Israel and who are not available over the phone at all. Nandi then said it was my problem and that I should email them about my concerns. She would not provide me with any other contact details for the owners and would not in fact give me her own surname as she said she didn't want to be involved.

This has got to be the worst dress shop experience I have ever had. I have emailed the owners and am awaiting their response!
