And once again, second month in a row my policy has been suspended for non payment. In the 1st instance (last month) they notified me that the debit order failed. There were funds in my account and my bank had no record of an attempted transaction. It took them several days to re-instate my services. It is now the 20th of the month and I have received notification that my services have been suspended due to non payment. My debit order is only supposed to go off on the 1st of the new month and there is no record from my bank that a transaction has been attempted. This is unacceptable as medical insurance is a critical service and they have failed me twice in a row. I would recommend people to STAY AWAY FROM DISCHEM HEALTH as they are *********** and completely unreliable. I am sorry I ever took them onboard as my medical service provider.
Due to an error with their billing process and confirmation from my bank that no debit order ran they still had the audacity to suspend my service. My son urgently needs to see the doctor and we need to collect chronic meds. I was told they would debit on Wednesday (today is Monday) and then only lift the suspension. After I complained bitterly the call center told me the debit would go off today. After another call to the call center they told me tomorrow. What am I supposed to believe? I was with Discovery for 20 years and due to financial constraints had to move to a more inexpensive medical cover. In all the 20 years this never happened. I would advise anyone considering Dischem medical insurance to look elsewhere. It is a critical service and they obviously don't see it that way.
