This afternoon at Mimmo's Gateway we ordered a pizza along with other meals. The pizza was served with lettuce and chopped tomatoes on top of it. When we asked the waiter why it's like that he said it garnish. We asked him who puts so much of garnish on a meal to which he grinned. Whilst my husband had a slice, he found it too messy and all the toppings lept falling into his plate and also on his clothes. He asked then waiter who servers pizza like this to which he rep**** that the pizza is advertising on the menu with raw tomatoes so when we looked at the menu, it didn't mention anything about raw. My husband asked for the manager who looked at us as if we were dumb for complaining about the excessive lettuce and raw tomatoes on the pizza. At this point only two slices were taken out from there but the manager refused to change it or make a change to it. We were charged full price for the pizza. We told them to take it and dispose of that nonsense because nobody eats **** like that. Also we were charged for sauce that we never ordered or ate for that matter
I contacted a company called SA Granite and Quartz for a new quartz top for my new sink. Shane quoted me, and everything was planned with a plumber at a different cost that he advised he would bring through. Shane and his team arrived and started whatever they were supposed to do. Shane asks for bedsheets to cover the newly silicone area so it doesn't get dirty, but still, the silicone is full of dirty as per pictures, and the quartz backsplash has yellowish stain. At 16h10, Shane informed me that his plumber couldn't get the plumbing correct, so he had to leave. His driver makes a fuss with him and advises that he is leaving with his vehicle at 16h30 and will leave Shane and his team behind. We found out that Shane has brought through one of his workers posing as a plumber and, in the process, damages my cupboards and pipes. We are now left without water as the guy messed up the valves also so we can't shower or use the toilet until we get another plumber on-site at this hour. To top it all, Shane and his workers smoked in my yard and threw the stompies all over my yard and drain. This is a non-smoking household. The so-called plumber shows up with no thread tape either. When asked why his workers hand was shaking so much, he gave an excuse that he uses the polishing machine therefore the after effects. Shane was more interested in the items in my property which I couldn't understand. He seemed to be intrigued with alot of our belongs and kept asking questions about it. My property was left in a terrible state. We had to have an after hours plumber which cost us a fortune and well deserved because the plumber had to fix all his mess ups.
Ted's Home Store [email protected] cheating people in regards to the scotch guarding. They make you pay for it then it's clearly not done as soon as liquid drops, it stains then when you call them they push you from pillar to spot. I paid R1700 but it was not done. Then when you call Masterguard, they state if you don't register the warranty card, it void which the Saleman failed to disclose also. The Saleman was the one that insisted we take the scotch guard because the liquid just flows off the couch. So a simple warranty card makes it null and void even though the product didn't work after paying R1700 for the guard alone. This to me is a load of hogwash. DON'T PURCHASE FROM THEM.
Been to Swartz Hair and Beauty Salon at the Phoenix Plaza on Thursday to do a full colour. Paid R1700 for hair that is unevenly coloured. I called and messaged Ms Singh this morning and she advised to come through so there can add 2 foils to get this sorted, all she could answer was that caps come out uneven. They had 4 people working on my hair from the start to the end of the process. Went back today but all you hear are excuses. The hairdresser stated that she did this and that so I asked them for footage of the day I was there to see what they did but they brushed it off. The hairdresser says she will correct it and sort it out to look even, so I gave her the opportunity to do so. Whilst she is doing this, she's asks me if I want to wash and set it which is obviously another cost to me so I said no. She proceeds to dry my hair after and I see that it is still the same uneven colour that it was this morning. Now my hair can't be in a bun or ponytail because off the incompetent job done to it. What a waste of my money as well as my time!!! These people are interested in making costs from their clients instead of giving them their monies worth. This colour is in no way worth my R1700. All my husband and I could hear on Thursday was whispering between the manageress and hairstylist on what to products to sell me so they could make more money. Silver this, silver that then it's shampoo for another R900. They initially quoted R1500 which was agreed upon then they said to have treatment which is R200 more so I gave the go ahead for than when it was time to pay they stated it was R2200 because they did this and that, which was a lie so I didn't pay the R2200 but paid R1700 as I was advised. Beware of places like these that want to make a quick buck for pathetic services.

I purchased 4 x meaty lasagna from the Cornubia branch and it was terrible. Some had No flavour, some were sweet. It was not even layered as a lasagna is supposed to be layered. For the price it is definitely not what I should have received. Terrible, terrible terrible.
<div>Amazing Explanation from Chad. Very informative. Well done Chad</div>
My husband and I went to Barcelos Umhlanga at Aurora Drive, We required sauces as the chicken was not based well. My husband woke up from his seat whilst eating to ask at the front counter for the sauce as none was served when we got our food, so a guy by the name of Tumi looked for one and the cupboards and didn't find any thereafter he asked another customer to give him her one so he could bring it to us. He all this while is not using his mask as it's resting on his chin, with his mouth and nose exposed. I asked him about it and he apologized and put it on. The guy advised that he is the supervisor in charged when we asked for the manager. He brought over the sauces from the other customer without sanitizing it so we told him to sanitize it and bring it back which he did. Thereafter, whilst serving another old gentleman his food, he doesn't use a mask again and is laughing infront of the customers food whilst talking to the other workers. The customer requested for his money back and left the restaurant. This behaviour is unacceptable as we are slap bang in the middle of a pandemic.
Good Evening, Trust you are well. On Sunday, my daughter and her friends went out to have lunch and a few drinks. They visited the Gateway Durban branch and they had a waitress that attended to them. She told them that they have to order their food quickly as she doesn't want management to think that they are only coming for drinks. She basically rushed them to make decisions that she imposed on them. The waitress suggested what they should order and when they did order she insisted that they order what she tells them to order. She didn't want them to order pizza or burgers. Why I can't really say!! During their meals, she was continuously rushing them to finish their meals. Asking them if they are done whilst they talking and that she can pack away their leftovers which at that point they were not done with their meal. She was getting personal with them and telling them her life story about how her husband left her and telling them about her kids ages. When all the friends were paying their share of the bill, She insisted that they pay her a tip of R20 each even though the first person paid her a tip of R70 for everyone. The kids are absolutely shocked as they think that this is a norm in all restaurants. I called the restaurant on Sunday after I heard the story and spoke to the manager Janet who said she will view the footage and get back to me however to date no response is given to my complaint. Please can this be investigated and I would like feedback as this is not the way a waitress is supposed to behave or force kids to do what she wants. If she wants them to eat a certain meal the. she should pay for it herself.
