We purchased a second hand JMC 2.8 TDi 4x2 S/C bakkie last year. It had approximately 30 000km when we got it

When the vehicle went in for the 50 000 service, we asked the garage (TRADE AUTO JMC NELSPRUIT) to look into a noise in the gearbox. Nothing was done about it at this service

We complained again at the 60 000km service and once again nothing was done about it

At the 70 000 service, the noise was getting serious and we complained again. We now have a R9 000 plus bill to pay for gearbox repairs as we have now been informed that the vehicle is no longer under warrantee (alternative quote of R29 000 for a new gearbox)

This is completely unfair and extremely poor after sales service from the dealer. We were led to believe that the vehicle is based on Isuzu parts. I cannot believe that a gearbox can go faulty after 50 000 km's. it is either a factory defect or an extremely poor quality gearbox for a commercial bakkie that is supposed to be a workhorse

In addition to this, we have a number of other complaints

o We never received a service book with the vehicle, which has been promised dozens of times
o Oil is leaking from the dipstick and has never been repaired
