My experience with PetGeez was very bad. I placed an order and it reflected on their order tracking portal as ‘currently processing’ for 6 months! Eventually I asked them to fulfil my order immediately or refund (R1674). They said they didn’t have stock so I asked for a refund. They said they would. But it took 3 different attempts over almost a month to do the refund. The first one ‘bounced’ and I had to get in touch with PetGeez’s bank Bidvest, the second one didn’t come through either then finally the third one did. I’ve never not been able to transfer money between banks before – something very much does not seem normal. I was always the one following up. Allowing a customers order to sit ‘processing’ for 6 months without taking action is very strange. I don’t think this company is serious.
Miway is now up to 6 months with no resolution on our claim. They are very polite over the phone but do nothing. I did the required quotes timeously which came to R50,000 repairs - they offered less than half of this as a settlement. I contacted the repairer asking if it would be possible to fix the damage for the offered amount they said not a chance, don't sign the offer. He had a closer inspection of their offer - the miway assessor had redone the quote (without seeing the car or damage) and got soooo much wrong - including the colour of the car - our car is pearl white - their quote said blue - which is in fact a far cheaper colour. I don't know if these oversights are malicious or incompetence. Luckily I had help from the service provider identifying the mistakes (or grifts) miway made on their offer and didn't accept. It has taken MONTHS for them to fix their erroneous offer - when they did it was WRONG AGAIN and offer was below the repair costs and spend many of my hours chasing them up trying to get them to provide their basic service. In the meantime I drive round with the damaged car for 6 months. Unacceptable - would not recommend Miway insurance.
