Great Service, took me through my claim process step by step. Kept me updated and informed through the whole process. Rachel and Shay was very Instrumental during the whole process.
We put an online order with Makro and was only interested in 2 items, but because the system generated a message indicating that if your spend is more than R500 then your delivery is free, so we decided to make use of the free delivery items and purchased to the value of over R500. But when the order was completed its status showed pick up. I called the helpline on Monday and the first call was dropped. I had to call again and was promised that it would be changed to delivery within 24 to 48 hours. Today Wednesday status still the same. I called again, no joy. Frustrated, I went and picked it up.
Ordered pack of 4 Safy multi purpose foam cleaner for R299. It was ordered 26 June 2024 and the delivery date would have been delivered only 8th July 2024. Now today a few days before the delivery Takealot canceled order due to no stock. The same product is now advertised for R399, a R100 more. I feel they need to honor the deal.
I have recently put in a warranty claim with Kingprice after my vehicle broke down. I took it to a RMI / AA dealer to fix. I was contacted by the warranty department at Kingprice requesting certain documents, which I submitted in order for the claim to be assessed. In the meantime Kingprice told the service center where the vehicle was at to strip the vehicle and take photos of the defective parts as part of the assessment process. The mechanic was courteous enough to contact us to verify first that he needs our permission to strip as Kingprice don't pay labour or diagnostics when doing this. We were then also informed by Kingprice that our policy does not covern this labour and diagnostic fee as parts of the assessment. Kingprice then emailed me back and not call as they did when informing me of the policy exclusions , they checked my policy docs and the registration details I sent them of the vehicle I provided did not correspond with what they had on the system. I then immediately called Kingprice and spoke to Bev and she informed me that any disputes needs to be taken up with the policy department. I then spoke to a Lwazi Biyana who is in retentions department ( not sure if they want to coerce me into canceling the policy) who promised to escalate it to management. That was on Wednesday. I have not received any email or any call, to date. I have been struggling to get hold of him and everyone is sending him a message to call me. My vehicle has been standing at the garage awaiting feedback. Today is Friday and no one has come back to me. My gripe is that no one has bothered to come back to me or given me an update. How do you sign up people into a contract and take their monies, month on month, even though you have not taken all their details . Only when it comes to a claims then they are quick to look for a loophole not to pay out.
