TradeInn is great for sport equipment and brands that you struggle to find in South Africa. I ordered sport equipment from TradeInn on Thursday evening and it was delivered to South Africa on Tuesday. The product was delivered in perfect condition and it was exactly what I ordered. Tip: pay a bit extra for the DHL courier (avoid the regular postal service). Also be prepaired to pay an import duty (about 20% of the value of the product). The communication from DHL was also very good. I would definitly order from them again.
The app & website are down again this morning. There is no value under my portfolio value. Where did my money go? Who knows? I can't buy or sell anything either. None of the phone numbers work (some ring and ring but nobody answers). There is a bot but it sends you a link to a page that doesn't work. This is all very concerning. Rather pay more fees on another platform where you'll get support and the app has less downtime. This app is fine if you are just getting started but when you start investing larger sums of money rather choose another service. In the meantime, Orion Minerals is pumping and I am missing out because of this poor app choice...
What happened? Nedbank used to be good. Today (08 October 2025) I attempted to make a payment only to find out my account has been blocked. Nedbank said they blocked my account because I did not update my FICA details. However, I updated my details via the Nedbank mobile app a few weeks ago but they still blocked my account. Even after visiting a branch this morning, it may still take 48 hours before I can transact. Well Nedbank, you may not have me as a customer in 48 hours from now! Maybe you can ask The Financial Inteligence Centre to pay you your R250 bank fees every month... If anyone from Nedbank is reading this and cares, if I cant transact by 15:00 today (08 October 2025) then I will open an account with someone else. My reference number is 171417073.
