Checkers Sixty60 motorbikes completely destroy the peace and quiet of so many neighbourhoods. Delivery up to 12 hours a day, EVERY day. Residents are fed up. Municipalities should not allow this.
Our peaceful neighbourhoods are being swarmed by cheap, noisy delivery bikes! When will Checkers introduce electric bikes? Checkers gives Pingo the blame, but the Checkers brand is all over the bikes. Step up Checkers!
Why does Shoprite Checkers not phase out the noisy delivery motorbikes and introduce electric bikes? Kinder on the neighborhoods' residents and planet. If other major companies can, why can't you? Step up Checkers!
Its disgraceful that Checkers Sixty60 noisy motorbikes are allowed to destroy peaceful neighborhoods up to 12 hours a day! When will management step up and ensure changes are made? Why are other companies using electric bikes, but Checkers can't start implementing them? Residents are fed up!
Since Checkers moved into our beautiful, serene neighbourhood of Plettenberg Bay, it has been nothing but disruption and constant noise pollution due to the Sixty60 delivery bikes. We welcome Checkers and are your customers, but the noise from the bikes is intolerable. They commence at 07.30am until 7.00pm , 7 days a week! Residents no longer have any form of peace and quiet in their own homes. A solution to this would be electric bikes. Other companies who offer delivery services use the quieter alternative. Proposals have been sent to Pingo and Checkers alike to consider moving over to these bikes. There are many complaints on numerous platforms about the Sixty60 bikes. Please take accountability and consider the community.
It is disgraceful that Pingo/Checkers Sixty60 motorbikes are taking over our quiet neighbourhoods. One just needs to read the different reviews on numerous platforms that residents are fed up with these 2 companies. The noise pollution generated by your delivery bikes is unacceptable. It is way beyond normal traffic noise in our residential areas. Something drastic needs to be done. Why have electric bikes not been introduced? This is kinder on the environment and the residents? Do we need to get legal representation before anything constructive is done?
Since Checkers opened up a branch in our little suburb in Plettenberg Bay, we are subjected to 12 hours a day of noise and disturbance from their delivery bikes. Residents have approached Checkers about introducing electric bikes or another alternative. We are completely ignored. We would love to invite management to spend a day in our home to experience what we endure on a daily basis. This is an absolute disgrace. Profit seems to be their only interest.
