Defective Engine Supp**** – No Responsibility Taken, No Proper Resolution
I purchased an engine from German Spares West in good faith, expecting a serviceable unit suitable for installation. After inspection, it became clear that the engine was already in severely worn and defective condition at the time of supply. Internal damage was significant, including major wear that made the engine unsuitable for normal use and requiring substantial repair costs. This was not a minor issue or normal wear — this was a defective engine that should never have been sold as a usable unit. I raised the issue with the supplier and provided clear evidence of the condition. Instead of taking proper responsibility, they re**** on technical excuses and refused to fairly resolve the matter. I then escalated the case to MIOSA (Case 515438), but despite repeated follow-ups, there was no effective assistance or meaningful resolution. I also escalated the matter to the National Consumer Commission, where the complaint was acknowledged, but the process has been extremely slow and frustrating. The most disappointing part is not only the defective product, but the complete lack of accountability and after-sales responsibility. Customers trust suppliers when purchasing major components like engines. Selling a seriously defective unit and then avoiding proper resolution is unacceptable. I am sharing this so that other buyers think very carefully before purchasing from this supplier. I wanted a fair resolution, not conflict. Unfortunately, I was left with a costly problem and a complete lack of support.
