Title: R300 Fuel “Disappeared” – Loyal Customer Treated With Disrespect at Astron Energy Newlands West On 18 April 2026, I put in R300 petrol at Astron Energy Newlands West into my Toyota Rav4. My tank was already about 3/4 full — this was just a top-up. After the attendant (T. Hlongwa) finished, I started my car and immediately noticed something was wrong — my fuel gauge did not move at all. I raised it on the spot and was told, “it will eventually go up.” It didn’t. The next day, I checked again — still no movement. That’s when I knew something wasn’t right. I went back to the station, expecting help. Instead, I was: - Dismissed - Told I was basically imagining things - Treated with zero respect by the manager The manager even suggested emptying my tank to “prove” fuel was added — but couldn’t answer a simple question: 👉 How will you know how much fuel was in my car to begin with? No answer. Just attitude. I have been fuelling at this station for over 20 years, and this is how a loyal customer gets treated? At this point, this is no longer just about R300. It’s about: - Possible fuel discrepancies - Accountability - And the complete lack of customer care I am calling on Astron Energy management to: ✔️ Investigate this transaction (pump records & CCTV) ✔️ Address the unprofessional behaviour of staff ✔️ Provide a proper resolution If this is ignored, I will escalate this matter further across all platforms.
