Vegans please take note - make sure you eat before you attend a wedding at this venue. Despite being 6 vegans in total, we received a small plate of pesto pasta for starters, were told to dish the veg from the buffet (potatoes, carrots, lettuce, cucumber and tomato) for our mains, and no dessert was offered when the rest of the guests were served ice-cream and chocolate sauce. When we asked if there was more pasta we were told they only made the starter portions. The wedding couple asked if they could buy vegan pies or vegan meat alternatives for us when they were informed the week before that's what we would receive as food for the evening, but were told it wasn't allowed for 'health and safety' reasons. What a joke. Then surely they could have made an effort to make veg pies or a veg curry and serve us fruit salad for dessert. The entire family raided the fridge when we arrived home at 01h30 this morning as everyone was famished.
