I have an RA with Sanlam (Stratus Retirement Annuity) and I am trying to transfer it to another fund manager (Coronation) when I app**** Sanlam assured me that it would take at least 6 months to achieve but I accepted that. Then I needed some details not available on the Sanlam Online website so I tried their WhatsApp chat line - The first time I tried I found that the line is only open from 08:00 to 11:30 So, I tried again. This time starting at 09:14. By 11:30 Sanlam had identified me but the not even looked at my request for information. So I went looking and found a Customer Service number and for an hour I listened to them tell me their lines were all busy. So after nearly 4 hours of waiting on Sanlam to respond, I gave up trying to talk to a human. When I looked at the HelloPeter reviews realised that I was not the only one
Some time back I decided I did not want to get messages from Getwine about their specials. Their SMS messages do not have the legally required unsubscribe link, so I asked nicely to be removed. I had a very nice lady tell me that I would be removed. That did not happen. I tried again. No change. Now 10 messages later I am considering taking legal action against them The take away? Don't give them your contact details they won't delete them when you request them to and they don't have an unsubscribe link on their SMS messages
