Please be aware of this voucher and harassment scam. They claim to call and have a R15000 travel voucher to be used anywhere in SA for accommodation, or get into a draw for an international 5 star hotel. They'll give it to you for free in the hopes that you'll market their new business on social media. Their excuse for not having a website or any presence online is that they're a new company just launching and will only launch the site when you collect the voucher (for promotional reasons). It seems the idea is that they at least expect you to get cold feet after thinking about it after the call and you don't pitch to collect the voucher. When you don't they'll star harassing you that you now owe them R15000 for the value of the voucher! That or they'll direct to you a dodgy office behind Tygervalley mall and you get cold feet there. Don't fall for such obvious scam please. People have been catching on so they've repeatedly changed their name...slightly. For example: https://www.hellopeter.com/sa-reignite/reviews/unethical-and-now-illegal-business-practice-3655607 https://www.hellopeter.com/sa-re-ignite-travel https://www.hellopeter.com/re-ignite-sa If I could recommend that others lure them on more than I did and find out more information about them. If they call again I'll be sure to go to their "office" and record them ion action.
Watch out! I've been trying to cancel my subscription for weeks and just cannot, and their website is so faulty one cannot even log into it. There's no support, no phone information on their site to contact a person, and no one responds to their contact form in any way. This company seems dead in the water but they still have their billing system up, which is the only thing that works. Reminds me of Hellkom. AVOID AVOID AVOID, they'll steal your money.
These guys are as bad as it gets. They don't properly maintain the block at all, they implement a special levy without notice at all or explanation of what it's for or why. They don't respond to queries or important requests. Assuming it's Marite that has implements the access control and security systems; Marite implements systems that are as cheap as possible to solely to minimise efforts needed for them to administer the complex, causing unreliable access management and security. Avoid any apartment block they manage like the plague. Marite is an example of what it means to have a bad managing agent.
I've just moved to Exclusive Web Hosting from a big player in Cape Town. They've shown tremendous competence, with top tier customer service in migrating all my services and domains over with no downtime or frustration. Their promise of superior hardware performance is living up to their word as well. I highly recommend Exclusive Web Hosting to anyone looking for an all round polished and highly s****ed, happy experience.
Moving on to nearly two months ago (31 Aug), I put in a simple request that my business bank accounts' associated business name be changed to another name.

I'm STILL awaiting for something to happen. It's now at the point where they says it's done but nothing has actually happened. Or they say it's done after that with an 'oops we missed something'. But it's still not done.

This reminds me of when I took out a bond with FNB. What a long drawn out highly costly admin nightmare that was.

I'd go on now about how other new potential clients should stay away from FNB and all that. But I can't imagine other banks are any better as a whole :-/

Guys,

My internet has been down for almost two weeks now. The area's ADSL exchange is way beyond capacity and it seems like Telkom is doing absolutely nothing about it. My internet service provider (AfriHost) informs me that you're not tending to their ticket with you.

Is there anyone working on support cases like these? Why is Telkom not actively communicating with anyone? Why has no notification been sent out to all the residents affected?

The exchange needs upgrading urgently in Sea Point, Cape Town. This has been an issue for me for over a year (network congestion dependent). Now it's simply completely non functional for me personally. As far as I'm concerned, this is a break of contract with no service delivery to both myself and my internet service provider.

Please advise?!

I'm in the process of getting the Telkom reference number from my ISP. And will add it to this case in due course.
