We recently had my mom's possessions transported from Jhb to Cape Town. Thanks to Robyn and her amazing team all went extremely smooth. The driver even arrived a day early. The regular comms I received throughout the process was highly appreciated. Just such a brilliant service!
Kobus...Ryan...Judi...the team I arranged my gate automation with and the technical team headed by Shawn..and his colleagues Lloyd and Vincent...who did the installation....these are the people I need to thank....they are extremely professional and so kind and respectful in their approach. It was a great experience and my family is very happy.

I appreciate the communication every step of the way the most. That makes any customer feel valued and aware of the purchases path till it's delivery. The courier company as well made one feel secure in terms of the purchase.
I have purchased from Takealot for many years without incident. Returns were refunded or credited and orders were timeous. Since the Covid19 lockdown went into effect it’s as if the processes at Takealot suddenly went for a loop. I've returned a faulty keyboard and mouse approximately the end of May 2020 and to date after also sending back the batteries as well, as of about 10 days ago, they are still reviewing my return. My returned items were in a brand-new condition and that's what’s strange since they are also well within the warranty period. My initial attempt to contact Takealot telephonically about the returned items resulted in a voice message redirecting me to mail them. I did that at least 4 times since and no one has called me back to explain the delays. It's beyond me how this is even happening. Who is guiding this ship? Added to this I ordered 2 more keyboards since to replace the returned one. Either time the item was available upon the order being placed yet a week later I was informed they were no longer available. This had a direct impact one me successfully working from home. The delays experienced in 2 more orders for different items has been frustrating lasting more than 2 weeks. 2 more items were suddenly not available and taken off those orders. Another issue was one of my items got missing upon delivery and the courier was unable to find it. I logged a call to Takealot. It was eventually sorted 2 weeks later. No one called me to discuss what had happened or apologised for the mishap. This may sound like a customer moaning but look at the above and when you see this all happened within the last 5 weeks it becomes clear something is not right at this business. In fact this is unacceptable service.
I have recently taken Telkom up on an uncapped Data package offered which also increases my line speed. I live in Strandfontein. Since the the upgrade I have had endless issues with my internet suddenly being unavailable. This began approximately the beginning of July 2017. Everytime I call the call centre I hear 'due to high call volumes I may have to wait to be assisted' on the pre-recorded message...(may not be the exact wording). I have called Telkom no less than 6 times since the upgrade. The first time there was an exchange problem in the area. Their technician was most helpful...even at one stage visiting me on a Saturday morning to assist me temporarily which I did not expect but was very appreciative for. The sad thing is up until the beginning of July 2017 I have had generally fine service. Since the beginning of July 2017 I have had to wait to be assisted on the call centre line for 20 to 45min at a time...many times just giving up and calling back the next day. I've had to use 3G and data for my laptop and mobile phone on numerous occasions. This has caused havoc with my childrens projects and work in general. To be clear I mentioned to the Telkom call centre agent by the third all in July 2017 to them to please take my problem to a higher level due to this becoming a major inconvenience. I was promised it would be looked at in detail and have received no communication to date in this regard. Even the technician that was so kind complained that he had also been receieving poor internet service since he also lives in Strandfontein. If its an area problem when is Telkom going to sort this out. Why am I paying for this. I have made a decision to change sevice providers if this continues into the end of August 2017 if I am not contacted and this list of calls I have already logged is not dealt with as an area Problem. If I as a consumer is not important enough to their issue taken seriously then its time to vote with my money.
