The new requirement to open a Discovery Bank a/c in order to access Vitality reduced cost air travel benefits is a disgrace and is simply blackmail. I for one will not be blackmailed and am reviewing my Vitality membership, hope others will do the same. Very poor behaviour from a company that has always prided itself on high ethical standards
Excellent service and workmanship from Dan Neil last month. The awning installed at our townhouse in Lonehill looks great and was installed on time and to the agreed timetable. Just need some rain to check if it is fully waterproof but am confident it will be fine!
I have hired from them before and had good service however on this occasion they rented me a chain saw which refused to start. The backroom guys in the store eventually managed to start it but neither myself nor, importantly, their own manager could start it and I finished up having to pay R230 for the privilege of not using it. Was not prepared to fight over it but stay away from them for anything with a motor - looks like insufficient maintenance or old clapped-out equipment.
I recently took out a fibre contract with Afrihost which was speedily and efficiently installed. However within 2 weeks of taking out the contract I received notification that the agreed cost was going up by 12% which is totally ridiculous and blatantly exploitative in the current environment. Upon querying this with Afrihost I received a frankly feeble response that the increase was due to an increase by Metrofibre, to whom it would appear they sub-contract my business. I then sent a complaint to Metrofibre asking them to substantiate the increase and received no response. This a blatant ripoff from both companies.
I recently took out a fibre contract with Afrihost which, to give them due acknowledgement, was speedily and efficiently installed. Upon querying this with Afrihost I received a frankly feeble response that the increase was due to an increase by Metrofibre, to whom it would appear they sub-contract my business - i.e passing the buck. I have also sent a complaint to Metrofibre asking them to substantiate the increase and received no response. I will also be laying a complaint against them via Hello Peter. This a blatant ripoff from both companies.
Initial quote for panel beating work approved by Outsurance but found to be incorrect and needing revision. Details were supplied to Zecheriah Manuel over 1 week ago and request made for updated quote to be approved but no response received to date. Atrocious service as they have all the information required.
