Very reliable with amazing prices and quick online retrieval of codes.
Delicious gluten-free food and treats. This will be my go-to whenever I visit Cape Town from now on! Their bagels are deliciously crispy with flavour. The pistachio cake is absolutely a MUST! Very happy with the service. I wish we had more places like this that are dedicated to special dietary requirements.
Great and affordable fast-food pizza. They have gluten-free pizza bases but only in size Large. I wish they had gluten-free in size small - along with gluten-free pizza pies and other options.
TaMaties is excellent and somewhat affordable. I am somewhat of a regular and enjoy their gluten-free bread a lot. I personally recommend the Salmon & Cream Cheese Toastie as well as the Chicken, Avo, and Feta Toastie. They also have other foods and drinks available like iced coffee. The cashiers are very friendly and informed at their branch in Neelsie Student Centre, Stellenbosch. Will definitely always go back for more.
I adore Kristen's Kick-Ass Ice Cream as their prices are good and the quality of ice cream is superb. They have a great variety of ice cream flavours, many of which are dietary-friendly and inclusive. They have ice cream that is dairy-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, and vegan (among others). At first glance, it might seem expensive to pay R30 for a single scoop, but their portions are MASSIVE. It is well worth the price - if not better. They also have a loyalty program which is rewarding. I will be back for more!
While I adore thrifting, I found that the specific shop at Eikestad Mall is not affordable. I have browsed through this shop multiple times and found that the second-hand clothes sold at My Emporium are sometimes more expensive than newly brought clothes at retailers like Mr Price. Sometimes the garment is in a bad condition and then they will still have a price of +-R150 when it should just be donated for free. Due to the pricing, it seems like the shop is just another money-making scheme that wants to make profit off of supposed "sustainability" - in the name of thrifting. I cannot speak for the other stores in other cities, but the one in Stellenbosch is certainly not affordable to the average South African citizen.
Delicious baked goods and beverages that are affordable and fresh. I wish there were gluten-free options available.
Good selection of adult toys that are affordable to the average South African citizen. Their website is also great and contains a variety of self-pleasing or couples toys with the general goal to improve ***ual wellness and intimacy. Thank you for providing affordable toys and helping to destigmatise the taboo around adult ***uality. There are also LGBTQ-affirming toys which makes the selection inclusive and affirming.
No gluten-free food options. I brought in my own gluten-free food to the shop at Eikestad Mall and was not allowed to eat it inside despite buying a coffee at Costa Coffee. I had nowhere else to sit and got harassed by the waiter for bringing my own food. Rather than refusing others to bring their own food, you should focus on the lack of dietary-friendly options (and the apparent worms in your current meals as stated by several other reviewers). Not happy with how I was treated, and due to blood sugar issues, I almost passed out in that shop.
Yellow Sub Trading list their products with excellent prices. I brought the nicest looking sneakers (size 6) but unfortunately had to return it and size up to a size 7. The new size does fit but I recommend that you order it two sizes larger than your usual size as it is certainly inaccurate. Other than that I had no issues with returning and swapping for a larger size. Delivery was quick and efficient as well. Will be shopping here again!
