I just want to speak out my mind… I have resigned at Paul reasons are, The managers are very aggressive there they don’t even give you a chance to speak out they will shut you out. If you ask for any information regarding work e.g tips and working hours , all they say is go to HR and there is nothing they can assist us with. You can’t raise a concern. Melinda takes everything personal and she will make sure yu pay for it by giving you 10-10 shifts the whole week. That’s why people are always sick or something coz they being used like slaves. We are here to work and we don’t mind good working hours and given a fair treatment. Everyone is looking for a job now so that they will leave. Don’t let your managers drag down your good restaurant . They should also structure their shifts in a smart way. All facters being equal and consistent they will not be high employ turnover. I’m writing this regarding the experience I have had from Paul French Cafe V&A Waterfront. I was an employee there working as a waitress. The manager by the name Melinda was so ******s towards me and she was making me work like a slave. I have then decided to resign and then she agreed on giving me a reference . I have been struggling to get a job until now only to realize that she was bad mouthing me to every employer calling for my reference and lying about me. They overworking people with too many shifts and work 12 hours everyday for the whole week no pay. She told me that I’m poor and there is nothing I can do to her because I don’t have the power I’m just a black uselessness waitress
