DO NOT USE VAPS (VALET AIRPORT PARKING SERVICES) ALSO KNOWN AS AIRPORT PARKING SERVICES
NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN will I make use of this company! DO NOT use them! I left my Toyota Hilux in VAPS care on 19 December 2023. Luckily I took photos of the condition of the vehicle just before handing over the keys! On 20 December I received numerous Tracker messages of my vehicle being moved. (Started and stopped) I inquired via WhatsApp and have not up to date received an explanation for all these excess stops and starts. According to the Tracker logbook, the vehicle was moved 9 times, the furthest being 3.2km! Upon my return on the 24th of December, I noticed a long scratch/damage on my front right wheel arch. I immediately contacted VAPS and sent pictures. If I had not taken the prior photos - I bet they would have said that it was that way when I left it! I was informed by VAPS that the issue was sent to the directors and that they would contact me to resolve the issue. Then I received a response that they would fix the scratch the next time I booked in!?? Seriously.. next time..? I clearly informed them that I will NEVER ever use their service again, are not flying again soon, and in any case will not allow them to just go and "fix" the scratch by some backyard spraypainter, whose paint job will probably come off within a week - do they really think I will just allow this? Furthermore, I live in Pretoria, and they want me to drive all the way back to Jhb for their convenience? Since then I have sent numerous WhatsApps and was told that the directors are on holiday and will contact me on the 3rd. Nothing happened, I sent a couple of WhatsApp again, and after numerous requests to resolve the issue, I have been ignored flatly. It is clear to me that they have absolutely no intention whatsoever to resolve this issue and fix THEIR mess! SO....DO NOT USE VAPS!! Now I have to pay my insurance access, spend time to have my vehicle fixed, and have the inconvenience of the unavailability of my work vehicle due to negligence and ignorance of VAPS management who refuse to take responsibility for their staff actions. I REPEAT... DO NOT EVER EVER USE VAPS (Whatsapp name is AIRPORT VALET SERVICES with number 0822237410) I am reporting VAPS on all available sites and platforms to warn people against using them!
