Firstly, the restaurant is dirty. The table that was available for me to eat was not clean. I had to ask one of the staff members to clean the table. I placed my own order at the self service terminal. When I had to pay the machine didn’t allow payments. I ended up paying at the kiosk. I specified to the lady that she shouldn’t add any ice to my Watermelon McFizz. I waited close to 30 minutes for my order. When I eventually did, the McFizz had ice. The nuggets I had ordered didn’t come with the jalapeño sauce I wanted. The happy meal had no toy in it and there was no ketchup in the order. I went back to a staff member with my slip. She told me “you didn’t order from me”. McDonalds is obviously not a ****a shop, I cannot be expected to look for a staff member that assisted me when I have a slip that has my order. My order was even missing. I had to go back for a hamburger that wasn’t included in my order. TERRIBLE STAFF, TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

I dealt with a lovely gentleman by the name of Cielen. He was very helpful and ensured that my issue was resolved in one go. He made sure to call back to follow up and made it easier by giving me an option to collect my order. Very efficient and professional service.
I am definitely not one to complain, but this time around I feel the need to raise this as I wasn’t happy with the overall service. Firstly, the amount of time is takes for the order to get delivered is ridiculously long and an expectation should be set in order for customers to know before continuing with placing an order. Secondly, tracking an order is a nightmare. The order status page was stuck on “pizza in progress” for close to 45 minutes and eventually gave “a tracking unavailable” error message. This is useless because I don’t know the point of being told you’ll be able to track the order of the process is useless and not user-friendly. Thirdly, I called the store up to 4 TIMES trying to chase up this order. 4 times!! And I got to speak to a person only once and I believe they were trying to just get me off the phone when I was told “yes your order is on the way” without even asking for any of my details so I couldn’t understand how if they don’t know who they’re talking to and I’ve ordered. The other 3 occasions the call centre consultants transferred me to the store but it only just rang. Clearly you cannot get through to anyone at the Khayelitsha restaurant when you request to. Lastly, there’s no communication from the driver. What I expected was to receive a call when the driver is outside (because I couldn’t track the order) but I didn’t. I had to stand outside our yard and look to see if he wasn’t there and he eventually got there. The pizza was undercooked to say the least. Loved the dessert though but I just wasn’t happy with the overall service. This has been the worst experience ever!!
