Makro advertised six boxes (units) of Easter eggs for a special price of R200-odd as a bulk order. I ordered and they only delivered ONE box. I asked for the additional five to be delivered and, without even responding to me, I had TWO drivers rock up to fetch the one box that was delivered, without prior warning, and when I was asking for the balance of my order to be delivered! Now Makro wants to reject my refund request! Sorry, but this is *****ING, when advertise **** specials to trick people into buying! I will never again buy anything from Makro.
I always shop online at Makro, but all of a sudden I am limited to only 50 items? For a bulk store, this is ridiculous! To further waste my time, this was only made known to me when I tried to check out! Further, my cart says 50 items, yet your website refuses to allow me to check out and keeps saying there are more than 50 items and I must remove some. I am VERY unhappy and if I lose out on specials because of this I don't see myself buying there again! If you are going to limit items, then you need to NOT allow additional items in the cart in the first place! Don't waste my time trying to figure out what to take out! You made my bad day worse and I am sick of you people - even your telephone customer service are useless and keep going on about my browser as if it could be MY browser and not YOUR WEBSITE!
We are urgently looking for others who have a Momentum policy brokered by Marius Truter at Trulogic. We have been cheated out of our entire retirement savings (via an endowment policy with Momentum) and we are going to approach the ombudsman soon. It would help our case a lot if others have experienced the same issues - even if the policy type is different, and even if the company which whom you have your policy is different. Please contact Vanessa on [email protected]. Thank you.
My husband recently discovered that the endowment part of his Momentum Whole Life Assurance policy has never been captured in Momentum’s system and there is no record of it anywhere. On the original papers he signed, the endowment pages are the only two pages not initialled (and are blank, although he remembers the broker filling it in at the time). Please note that we intend to approach the ombudsman together with others who have the same issue. We cannot afford to lose our entire retirement savings. ** If anyone reading this has the same problem, please contact me on shadowfire13 @ gmail.com **
Don't waste your money or time shopping at Takealot! They give you one delivery date, which is in time for a birthday gift to arrive on time, and then suddenly two days later your delivery date is A MONTH LATER, way after the birthday! Now the items are USELESS to me! That's even assuming the things work when arrived - lately there are endless returns for items with parts missing from them, or obviously damaged, or otherwise damaged or not as advertised. Disgusting! You people should be embarrassed!
Lately Takealot likes to waste customers' time - they cancel your order claiming no stock, then you look at their website and the item is still available for purchase! Upon querying it, I was told that the cancellation was because I would have to wait 5-7 days for the item to be sent by their supplier - yet that fell in line with my original delivery date, which Takealot pushed forward by a week only to cancel the day before delivery! Then on another order, they sent the wrong item and, when I requested the correct item to be sent, they instead credit my account even though that item was STILL available for sale on the website! Now when I try to repurchase the thing, I just do not get an OTP to complete the transaction!!! And plenty of similar issues with Takealot over the last few months. I need a new place to shop. I do NOT recommend Takealot unless you enjoy endless disappointment and customer service people who don't know how to read properly and completely ignore what you are actually asking when they respond!
I would give this business 0 stars if I could. Re-Thrift advertises that they take good second-hand clothing and sell it on your behalf, keeping a percentage. In reality, what Re-Thrift does is take your goods, give you back only a handful of goods or money, and keep the bulk of your goods for 100% their own profit (the dictionary word for this is ‘stealing’). They make endless arrangements to return the rest of your goods, but then break those arrangements without having the courtesy to even let you know. Then when you get upset, they get rude and argumentative. They don’t even intend to give the service they promise right from the start, it seems – the excuse for not returning the bulk of my parents' items was that they had agreed that any items not suitable for resale could be donated to charity. Except my parents' items were ALL in excellent condition and nothing came near to being unsuitable for resale. In total, Re-Thrift owes my parents about R4,000 for their second-hand clothing and shoes taken and not paid for or returned. I do NOT recommend dealing with Re-Thrift in any way. You are better off selling your own items on Gumtree or Junk Ads or Facebook Marketplace for 100% profit.
I ordered a kids' dress from Foschini's online store, and the very first time my daughter wore it, it came apart at the seams. There is now a HUGE hole in it in multiple places at the back, and it cannot even be fixed - although I should not have to fix something after a first wear! When I wanted to return it for a refund, I was told I have to drop it off at the nearest store - if there was a store conveniently close to me, I would not have purchased online!
The Pest Store delivers very fast and has great after-sales service! The second order I placed with them, they sent some items wrong. I sent an e-mail (on a public holiday) to let them know, and received a phone call the very next day (and they even apologised for not answering on the public holiday), and that same day a gentleman delivered the correct items to swap for the incorrect. Fast and reliable. I would recommend this company to anyone needing pest solutions!
We just bought a 4x4 bakkie from Liebenberg Auto. Everything went smoothly up until trying to insure the vehicle - we are now grossly under-insured due to Liebenberg being unable to provide me with a list of upgrades to the vehicle, so now we have to waste our time trying to find out from the manufacturer what is an upgrade and what comes standard with the vehicle - a huge mission and nightmare! So for now, the vehicle is insured for almost R100,000 less than what we paid for it, because that is apparently the base value! I am not at all happy, and I don't see how a professional dealership can NOT be able to tell me what has been upgraded on the vehicle, considering they added those upgrades to the vehicle selling price! Seems to me they just cannot be bothered to assist once they have your money. I am not at all happy!
