Makro still has not refunded me fi a faulty washing machine they sold me to me in December 2025. To date, no resolutions or even communication. I will never give up for my money!!
Please guys stay away from Makro online, they sell faulty appliances. I have been following up on my refund, 6 months later, there is still no resolution, they even stopped responding to my emails now.
Oh Makro online? the worst!! 3 months later I am still chasing you for my refund.
I am having the worst experience with Makro !! I bought a brand new washing machine from Makro online on 19th December last year. From day one, it was faulty, very unstable and extremely noisy. I contacted Makro and was advised to log a return. They collected the machine on 02 January 2026, and I was told my refund would be processed in 3 - 5 days. A week passed, nothing. I followed up, and was told my return was “pending assessment.” Another week went by. I kept calling and emailing, getting the same excuses. Finally, on 12th February, they rejected my return, claiming “no faults were noted,” and said a technician would be assigned instead. The machine was delivered back while I was at work and my helper received it. When I got home, I found a huge dent on it, along with an assessment report stating the machine was unstable and made excessive noise due to a DENT. Let me be clear guys, when Makro collected it, the machine had no dents. I called them again and sent emails about these new developments, they told me to log another return, and I did. It was rejected 4 times, I also had 2 consultants from Makro logging the return on my behalf, still those attempts were rejected. All I get from Makro are apologies and promises that they’re “investigating.” It’s been almost 3 months now. I’m stuck with a machine I can’t use, that I paid for, and that somehow came back with more problems than when it left. Honestly, until when? Makro SA
Discovery South Africa is the worst insurance ever 😡😡, they took forever to approve my motor vehicle claim and chose the worst Panel Beaters (Elegant Square to be specific). I have honestly lost patience, imagine I was in an accident on 01 January 2022, up to this day 04 April 2022 my car is not back when I was told that they would finish working on my car in two weeks, now I hear stories. I have been following with calls and emails. After 35 days I returned the rental car and For a good two weeks I hired a car from my pocket because the Panel Beaters had ordered parts from VW, and Discovery could not extend my rental car for parts delays. Parts were delivered, I was hopeful but only to hear stories again. I went to the Panel Beaters because I wanted to see if they were really working on my car, but they didn’t allow me. I then found out that they stripped my vehicle only in March and there there were additional parts were needed. I went crazy and called discovery to complain because my vehicle was with the Panel Beaters since January, why was it stripped in March ??. They gave me a rental car again for two weeks, then kept extending up until tomorrow, the 5th April 2022 and now they are saying I’ve had it for more than 65 days so I must return it. But how ? When my car is still not back and it’s not clear when am I getting it back.
