Been with SANTAM DIRECT for buildings, contents and vehicles cover since 1 May 2000. Always try my utmost to look after what I own responsibly; never had a motor vehicle claim never had a house contents claim due to break-in or burglary. During July 2025 an insured motor vehicle was rear-ended by another motor vehicle. The early twenty’s driver of the other vehicle apologised profusely for the mistake; admitting that while looking at his cell phone he had caused himself to be distracted from the task of operating his motor vehicle. Luckily both parties were uninjured, and insured with SANTAM. And SANTAM’s slogan is "living in the moment, not in the worry". Well, worry – especially after I decided that on-principle I should not claim against my own SANTAM policy but the SANTAM policy of the party who caused the damage. I thought I was a good and responsible client for decades – I mean SANTAM certainly collected their fair share of premiums from me in the past and still does. Well, guess what – SANTAM did not see it that way. Instead Santam treated me like an ************ exploiter wanting to recover damages from the policy of their valuable client. Yes, you guessed it – the policy holder who caused my damage is in fact the valuable SANTAM client! Don’t be fooled by the promise of "living in the moment, not in the worry" because that is not what SANTAM stands for. It is rather a case of delete the “M” for money because you’re not going to see any, and no, it does not spell SANTA, I am not done yet. You need to move the “N” for big fat no-no way to the end, and then you will see the wolf in sheep’s clothing… Oh yes, also have a commercial insurance policy with SANTAM since 1 June 1991 but I suppose it is time to move on from SATAN and not risk an eternity of damnation .
Santam has told me about 3 times on this platform they will contact me, they have contacted me 0 times. Santam told me 2 times on FB that they will contact me, they have contacted me 0 times. I have sent multiple emails and made multiple calls, either no response or the matter gets diverted round and round until I am back at square one!
I am deeply upset and appalled by Santam’s complete lack of response to my emails and the poor treatment I have received as a loyal Santam policyholder. Being ignored and left without feedback or support is unacceptable, unprofessional, and shows a blatant disregard for customer service. After placing my trust in Santam, this experience has been both frustrating and disappointing, and it falls far short of the standards I expect from a leading insurer. It has been 6 months and Santam has not resolved my vehicle insurance case! Not even the formal complaints department has got back to me! Can an insurer possibly be this inadequate?
After my family has been steadfast and credible clients of Santam’s for over 20 years AND without a single vehicle incident claim, I am appalled as to how I am being treated after someone else (whom is also a Santam client) rear ended me and even took accountability for it. I app**** for a third party claim and Santam has been treating me as if I am at fault and as though I am not even a client of theirs, leaving me to pay for damages out of my pocket and offering ridiculous settlement amounts. They have absolutely no regard for my loyalty and credibility and it makes no sense as to why I am to suffer the costs and why their inappropriate and defensive behaviour favours the guilty party. I am inclined to legal advice and find an insurer who actually comes to your aid instead of neglecting their clientele.
Discovery telemarketing calls me (already a client) to offer me services I already have with them! It is very concerning if Discovery does not even know who their clients are already! I might just leave Discovery if this does not get resolved!
My very first online order from vape junction was 03 October 2024, an expired product arrived a few days later (expiry 01 July 2024), this surely cannot be acceptable!
Standard Bank is *********** in responding over email, I have sent 5 emails since Wednesday 01/11, and it is now Monday 06/11 about requesting the tier interest rates over the past 2 years for financial workings. I have scouted the website and other publications. Other major banks publish this information however Standard Bank is the only bank to not keep up with the needs of their clients and institutions representing them.
Sanlam's service is absolutely disgraceful! I cannot believe how inconsiderate they are and especially to the elderly! They are treating my grandmother like she is a criminal, after her retirement they are making her jump through multiple hoops despite her age and condition which was conveyed and absolutely no one is willing to accommodate the circumstances! I am releasing my own policies from Sanlam and I intend to spread the word of their incompetence!
