Shout out to Jennifer for helping out! I have been a Yoco customer for a few years and have always found them to be innovative and progressive. Their offering keeps improving and they make it easy to manage your products and sales in a single point of contact. The reason for this review relates to a (card machine) sales enquiry and upgrading from my old Yoco GO ... I was promptly connected to a human and found the agent to be very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions/concerns unambiguously and quickly. 5-star service ... can highly recommend. Local is very lekker indeed.
I don't know why they get so much hate on Hellopeter. I have now placed four orders with them in the last month and the result is the same every single time: orders are processed almost immediately (even on weekends) and the tracking and shipping notifications start coming almost just as quickly - their courier partner (Aramex) also hasn't disappointed (maybe that's just in Cape Town) and orders typically arrive at my door within 3 days. Their pricing is very reasonable and they carry a lot of stock on a wide range of products (within the electronics/making space). I haven't had to return any items, and maybe that's where things go pear shaped; but my experience has only been great.
Shout out to Botshop for an awesome online shopping experience. I placed my order over the weekend and received it this morning; opting for Courier Guy was a minor premium to pay ... I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and design of their packaging (which is just as sleek, fun and funky as their website). It's so great to see passion for what they do as should be obvious from the fact that they do not just sell product; they also have training material available and a code repository to geek out on. Keep up the great work!
Avoid this store. Really apalling service. On their website they claim to have items in stock, and delivery is 5 - 7 days. I spoke to Denise via WhatsApp and their office number and was assured of their delivery timeline and that I am making the right purchase decisions. After struggling to reach them via any of their contact numbers, I finally got hold of them and they assured me that the items have shipped and promised to provide tracking details, also that delivery will be by close of business today; but I am still to receive tracking details and/or my order and all their numbers go to voicemail again. WhatsApp messages remain unread - I am starting to think that I have been ****med. In stark contrast, the items (filament, etc.) I have ordered from another online store (after ordering my printer from 3D store) arrived within 2 business days. I should have just paid the (few hundred rands) premium and shopped elsewhere to avoid making an expensive mistake.
Three of my FNB bank cards expired, each about a week apart, three weeks in a row - CCD Couriers (and, specifically, Sidima Nombewu) was the delivery agent for each of my replacement cards and the service, professionalism, friendliness and adherence to COVID-19 safety precautions/guidelines was impeccable each time. I want to thank Sidima personally for his attitude and service - companies need to realise that their brand means nothing without awesome people executing their duties to this standard. I hope that CCD is taking very good care of this man ... 5 stars all the way!!!
I have been receiving "reminders" that inform me that it has been 2 years since I last visited your Cavendish store ... I have never been to your Cavendish store - this is spam!!! I would like to know if it is common practice to send unsolicited marketing material to customers from other stores - surely the franchisee at the store where I am a customer will not be happy to hear that their domain is not being protected by the franchise. Either way - stop spamming or I'll take my business somewhere else.
My 2013 BMW 320i needed a turbo overhaul out of motorplan. The BMW replacement was more than I could afford. I did a lot of research for alternatives and found that most of the local (Cape Town) businesses either specialise in turbo diesel only or have bad reputations. My research online led me to Turbozone in Paarl. I submitted an online inquiry and was delighted to receive a swift response with a very reasonable estimate for the overhaul. I requested confirmation that I was, indeed, quoted on the correct part and received this promptly as well. From talking to André on the phone, I was soon convinced of their experience with reconditioning turbos and trusted them to be experts at what they do. I received my car back today and cannot be happier - the service was exceptional (especially for a provider in an industry that has a reputation for the contrary) and the repairs done in a reasonable time span. They even shuttled me from Milnerton to get me to my car (which feels great to drive again). Well done André, Jesseca, Aldrin - 5 stars from a happy customer.
After settling the finance on my vehicle, I had the option to have the registration documents delivered via registered mail (not an option, because SAPO) or courier - I opted for courier and paid the fee up front. A few days later, I received an email from the receptionist, at our regional head office to, collect a parcel from the front desk ... only: I am not at our regional head office and that is not the address I stipulated for delivery. Someone at Skynet decided that I do, in fact, not know the correct address for my office and delivered my parcel to our head office. I had to make several calls to their call centre, each time being cut off at just over the 10 minute mark - these include calls where I was transferred to their Cape Town depot that never seems to answer their telephones. I eventually got an email address for a manager in their depot from a call centre agent - two days of emails back and forth and CC'ing every single shift manager whose email address I found in between, and I am still no closer to receiving my parcel. Absolutely shocking! The post office would have been faster.
Hats off to the staff at Hetzner - their service is something that most of their competitiors can learn from. Helpdesk staff are well spoken and courteous and get the job done effeciently. Their technical team are equally competent and outages are rare - in the unlikely event of an outage or details being compromised, they are super communicative and transparent. It is well worth paying a small premium for peace of mind. I logged a ticket for a domain transfer over the weekend and requested a call-back. I received a call from Candice this morning who followed up our call with an email that starts off with thanking me for taking her call. Her request for information was clear and concise and the entire process of facilitating the transfer was completed end-to-end in miuntes. This has always been my experience in dealing with Hetzner. Please, never change that winning attitude.
It is always a pleasure ordering from Pizza Perfect Milnerton ... Their wood fired pizza is done just right, the price is right and the staff are super friendly and efficient. We ordered on Friday night and, as ever, our order was ready by the time I arrived to collect. It was also the first time that we ordered kiddies meal combos and that went down an absolute treat - it's basic and affordable. There is always a manager on duty and front and center of the operation - I am yet to engage with any of their managers or staff that are not super curteous - keep up the good service and keep smiling ... you rock!
