I was treated at Christiaan Barnard Hospital in January 2023 where a Nurse left the working area while he was suppose to watch my dialysis process. The machine malfuntioned and because he was not present and could not be found anywhere after a search by fellow medical staff, my arm was heavily swollen and bruised. I will send the pics later. After I had complained about the negligence, I was told that Chrisiaan Barnard Hoslital does not take any liabiity for this bad service and for services charged to my account for which I was not admitted. Two ultrasounds were hence requested at the sight of my arm which I now have to pay to the value of R13 000 This is extremely unfair and sadly the staff member who has cause this incident gets away with no caution or reprimand. I am sadly another statistic of a bad service condoned by Christiaan Barnard Hospital
I have been trying to reach both the CEO and Finance Manager to make arrangement and obtain assistance due my Covid-19 impact on my academic progress and achievement since March 2020 but to avail. My emails to staff and management are being ignored for a meeting to get assistance.
