Fireplace and Chimney robbed me of my deposit. I am in the process of taking them to court, however they did not turn up to the court hearing last week, after receiving a summons. I am now taking things further.
I have sent 5+ emails in the last month to my prestige banker, Ashra Adams, with only one boilerplate response that she is busy. No follow-up.<br> I received one email response from prestige banking this month containing the personal details of someone else with whom I happen to share a surname. There was no reason for the bank to include this other person's private details, which were not even germane to the issue! I complained to the bank about this and received no response.<br> Standard Bank has already breached my personal security several times in the past, sending all my transaction details to an unknown telephone number repeatedly over many months. In fact, reading this I have no idea why I remain with them and .... well, I will change banks. <br> It took 5 personal visits to 4 different branches, many phone calls and emails until finally they managed to change my email address to the one on my profile!
I changed my email address on my profile, and went into the branch to change the email address for my OTP. It took a long time but eventually I started getting messages to my new email address. For a few months I received OTPs etc. to both email addresses. I contacted the bank to ask them to stop sending emails to both, and to scrap the old email address. Nothing happened. Then I stopped receiving all communications to my new email address. I phoned the bank who said all communications are now going to my old email address. Now I cannot use online banking.
