Fantastic service, the salesperson (Andre) is very knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend, especially to someone a bit unsure about DIY home improvements.
While I've only had good experiences with small orders from Takealot, a big order (was busy moving into new home, lots of furniture and appliances) was a disaster: 1. I work full time and wanted to schedule a delivery date so that I could put in leave for that day. After several enquiries I was told that when the order is ready to be shipped I would be able to specify a delivery date either on the app or via email. 2. I got a notification one morning, telling me that the delivery was on its way. I could not change the delivery date on the app/online, and I couldn't get a hold of the Takealot salesperson via email. Phoning did not work either, I couldn't reach anyone. 3. I had to drive through to the next town over where delivery was made. 4. The Takealot salesperson only responded to email 3 days later. 5. A week later I started assembling the dining room set. The table legs are missing. 6. I was told that I need to return everything (including chairs that I already finished assembling). 7. I have no idea if I'm going to get a new dining room set, or get a refund. Would not recommend placing big orders with Takealot, they can't seem to handle it.
