After nearly two months of not being able to access my mobile data, no one in store, online or at the customer care center can give me an answer as to what the problem is. The staff in the store conned me twice into doing a sim swap, which I had to pay for both times and still no data connection. I have one of the largest contract packages available as I use it for business. Now when I called customer care to follow up on my case, the misery on the other end tells me I failed the security check questions and now I must go back into a store with my ID so they can unblock my profile. This is absolute bull ****. Someone from Cell C better call me today, not with a solution to the problem but with the cancellation fee I need to pay to rid myself of this pathetic company. I have been a client for 10 years now but done being given such poor service by ***********, rude and completely uninterested people. You have until 5pm CELL C
This is now my second review on this platform about Cell C for exactly the same problem. On the 21st of January 2021 I was unable to connect to my mobile data. I received an sms stating that I must turn on my roaming so as to not lose data conectivity. Well its now the 1st of March and to date still have no access to mobile data. I have paid for top up data in addition to my allocation on my package but am not able to use it. I am at my wits end. After hundreds of calls to customer services, e-mails and visits to CELLC stores, no one can tell me what the problem is or how to fix it. I always get told that my query will be escalated to another department. Surely by now CELL C are in breach of contract and I should be able to cancel my contract now? For two months I have paid for a product/service I have not received. Is there anyone out there, an attorney or an expert on the consumer protection act that could advise me of my rights in this regard?
Since Thursday the 21st of January I have had no data service. I was told that certain CELL C numbers were selected to be moved over to the Vodacom data network. This was never communicated to me. Now more than 14 days later, after numerous calls and e-mails, not a single person can tell me what is wrong or how to fix the problem. I keep getting told a call has been logged but no one can tell me whats going on. I have paid for the data and even have additional monthly data bundles as I use quite a bit but I have not been able to use the service. Will I be credited with data? Will I be refunded? I sincerely doubt it. I will be leaving CELL C after 11 years of being a good paying client if this problem is not resolved by Wednesday.
Purchased a solar inverter system for my home from Ruan Vorster in December 2019. To date, Ruan is unable to get the system to work and insists the problem must be with the electrics of my house. He is unable to tell me what the problem is and has made no attempt to identify the problem. Prior to the installation, a master electrician tested and repaired all electrical faults in the house and was awaiting the installation of the solar inverter system to issue a COC. I asked Ruan to either sort out his installation or to remove all the equipment and refund me in full. He now ignores me and does not respond to my attempts to contact him. He is young and un-qualified to work with electrics but yet he sells this service. His work and product he sells is of a very poor quality and everyone should stay away from him and his very poor service. It amounts to nothing but dishonesty and poor business ethics. Absolutely disgusted that such a young man is already such a dishonest and unethical businessman.
