Something to know about this newspaper and their ethics. The Press Ombud instructed them to publish an apology and a letter from the complainant on Facebook and in the Newspaper. They proceeded to: 1. Publish only parts of the letter in the Newspaper leaving out critical parts where lies were exposed. 2. Publish the same redacted version on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18RsyRs8qT/?mibextid=wwXIfr) and proceeded to block those wanting to publish the full letter and expose more of their questionable journalistic ethics. Below is the full letter to their Facebook article: PERSONBUDSMAN BEVINDING OOR ARTIKEL GEPLAAS 15 Mei 2025 Geagte redakteur, Dankie vir die geleentheid om my kant van die saak te stel, dit is inderdaad jammer dat ek nie voor die plasing van die artikel op 15 Mei 2025 gevra is om my kant van die saak te stel nie. Ek sou Overstrand Herald kon verseker dat ek net so graag wil weet wie die walglike kommentare op die webtuiste geplaas het en dat ek ook hoop dat die Polisie die skuldige so gou moontlik vastrek. Ek sou onder andere jou gevra het of jy kan onthou toe ek Overstrand Herald gehelp het met jul webtuiste, tot en met Maart 2025, maande ná die beëindiging van my verhouding met Overstrand Herald se vorige werknemer. Hierdie hulp het ek verleen op jou versoek en jy het die hele tyd toesig gehad oor wat ek gedoen het. Ek sou vir jou kon herinner daaraan dat al die MFA (multifactor authentication) kodes op jóú selfoon opgestel was, en ek dus nie kon inlog op die bedieners waarop die webtuiste loop, sonder jou toesig nie. Ek het dit gedoen want dit is deel van my professionele werkswyse. Dit verseker ook enige werk gedoen word aan die webtuiste sonder twyfel bespeur kon word na die persoon wat die werk gedoen het. Hierdie sou ek en jy saam kon bevestig met jou IT diensvers****** se deskundiges. Verder sou ek die Overstrand Herald kon vra na die saaknommer van die beweerde ondersoek deur die Suid-Afrikaanse Polisiediens. Ek sou kon aanbied dat die Suid-Afrikaanse Polisiediens my rekenaars onder my toesig deurgaan om my onskuld te bewys. Wat ek egter later uitgevind het, is dat daar ten tye van die artikel op 15 Mei 2025 geen saak by die Suid-Afrikaanse Polisiediens opgemaak is nie. Om die waarheid te sê, ‘n saak is eers oopgemaak vier maande later, ‘n week of wat nadat ek ‘n saak van aanranding oopgemaak het by Kleinmond se Polisietak teen die vader van jul gewese werknemer en ‘n invloedryke inwoner van Kleinmond. Dan het ons altwee bewus gewees van die leuens wat Overstrand Herald geplaas het in die artiekel op 15 Mei 2025. Indien Overstrand Herald wel my kant van die saak gevra het, sou dit ten minste waar gewees het dat ek ontken het dat ek betrokke was by die boodskappe, want ek was nooit eens die geleentheid gegun om dit te ontken nie. Wat in stede gebeur het is dat ek gevrees het dat ek konfronteer gaan word in Kleinmond se strate, gevrees het dat die Polisie my enige tyd kan kom arresteer. Wat ek intussen uitgevind het is dat daar blykbaar nie so baie mense is wat Overstrand Herald lees nie en dat daar op daardie stadium geen saak by die Polisie gemaak was nie. Ek het ook geleer dat daar wonderlike mense in Kleinmond is wat my deur hierdie moeilike tyd ondersteun en bemoedig.

HD Cabling Centurion's staff are helpful and professional. We once bought the wrong adapters, and they refunded all of the money we paid. Even struggles to reverse the payment on the Credit Card saw them go beyond what could be expected from them, to resolve.
I made the mistake to order from Graston Trading and pay through SnapScan. About two weeks after I ordered and have not heard anything back, I phoned the number on the website and a gentleman assured me the package was scheduled for delivery the same day. The delivery happened and I kept on getting messages of promises of delivery in 2 or 3 days. Eventually, I asked for the order to be canceled and refunded. They agreed on the refund, but nothing happened. Eventually I reached out to SnapScan for assistance. SnapScan confirmed they received the Refund from Grayston Trading and will refund my account a month ago. I have not received the money yet, almost 2 months after ordering from Grayston Trading.
I also made the mistake of ordering something from Graston Trading online. Initially, I thought I'm going to lose all the money, but was relieved when SnapScap managed to get the money back from Grayston Trading. It has however been 2 days short of a month that SnapScan confirmed they actioned the refund and I have not received the money yet. Their support team says they'll follow up with Operations, but then I don't hear from them again.
The service we received from Cucina Di Giovanni's, Waterstone Village, Somerset West, was phenomenal. The waiter was experienced, professional and friendly. The Pizza's we had were phenomenal. We will definitely visit them again when we go on holiday to Strand again.
Ulysses was much more affordable than any train or e-hailing service for a transfer to OR Tambo International Airport. Despite us only making our reservation the day before we left, even phoning on a Sunday, their help was quick and painless. The driver was on time, very professional, followed all COVID19 protocols and drove my family safely in a luxurious minibus to OR Tambo and again from OR Tambo.
The gentlemen was very efficient to assist me to upgrade three contracts. He explained every step we had to go through, explained each aspect of the contract and consequences of decisions I had to make. Where needed, he provided print-outs with step by step instructions I had to follow.<br> <br> The other staff overall was very professional and pleasant do deal with. Targa Panelbeaters in Centurion recently fixed up my car (via Discovery Insure) after an accident. Interactions were always friendly and professional. The car was fixed up really good and through the weeks my car was in their hands, I received regular updates, and even photo's of the car.
I recently had to claim for an accident with my car. Everything around the claim process worked out very good sofar.<br> <br> The claim process was efficient and simple enough.<br> The assessment went quick and was simple.<br> The full excess amount was paid from the funds saved as part of the Vitality Drive scheme.<br> <br> The Panel Beaters and the Avis Car rental was arranged and I was constantly kept up to date with the process.<br> Even the Panel Beaters themselves said it is a pleasure for them too working with Discovery Insure.
