DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! If I could ate them a 0 I would have. They even blocked me on their Facebook Page! These guys are ****sters and useless. We took our automatic Ford Everest to them on the December 2023 and only got it back in December 2024! They insisted on us paying the full amount that was quoted, which my husband did pay. The car went in for a second gear problem and we were told that the 3rd gear was a problem as well. They kept on giving excuses as to what was wrong with the car and that they are trying to fix it, to make it a short story at the end it cost us money to get an attorney involved just to get our car back, a week under a year that our vehicle was taken in. We got it back in the worst condition. After taking it to a Ford dealership they did a diagnostic report and it reflected that the gearbox now has an internal gearbox failure and that the gearbox needs to be replaced, the cost to that is nearly a R133 000.00 and that after only the 2nd gear was a problem!! So please do not trust them at all.
I bought a return ticket to to Cape Town for the Two Oceans Marathon, this would have been my first Two Oceans half marathon that I would have done. Now due to the Coronavirus it has been cancelled, which I do understand. Now FlySafair does not want to refund my ticket, but is offering to change flight or a voucher that have to be used in 6 months! I need the refund of my funds which is R4158,00. They then still want to charge you a R300 - R600 fee for changing and cancelling! This is unfair. Yes I do understand there is a policy, but really I did not ask for this to happen and this is a pandemic that was called by the Goverment and not ME. As a rule I do not fly, the lats I was on a airplane was in January 2017 for an emergency. This is really unacceptable and all I ask is for a refund of my money!
I am totally and utterly disgusted and disappointed with Ametlife. My mother (who is 82 years of age) started paying on a funeral policy in +/-1983, at that time it was SAFFAS. Somewhere along the line they have changed to Ametlife. They never informed my mom and NEVER send her a copy of the Policy, they haven't even changed her home address as she has moved twice in between this time. When we phoned to find out what is happening, as they are still deducting R117 of her account every month, they informed me that her policy is only worth R10 000.00, a coffin is not even this price it is more. HELLO she has paid of more on the policy that it is worth!!!!!!!!!! NOW they want to upgrade her policy to WHAT and how much more?? She is 82 years old and a pensioner and does not even speak or understand English very well. I have asked them to send me a copy of the Policy which still haven't. I wonder how many old people had they done in like this?? This is really such a sad situation as my mom is under the impression that all is fine. I really think that need to look carefully at their Metropolitan Policies. we are definitely going to cancel this policy as they are making money of innocent people.
