I made the mistake of assuming a .co.za website which looks legit is safe, boy did I learn my lesson, make sure you can contact the company and that they are actually local. This website appears so far to me to be a scam, it is a clone of smartbuyglasses.com which is an international company, I say its a clone as none of the features actually work, you can not use their contact form and their support email immediately comes back with a does not exist email. After selecting my glasses and entering specs, details and credit card info and submitting the order I am presented with a blank page and my cart is empty, I am not logged in and have no order number or anything, I checked in my bank and the money has in fact been reserved on my credit card. I received no email or communication for several hours at which time I attempted to contact them to find out that there is no contact number, their contact form does not work nothing happens and the email address does not exist, their "social media" listings are all for the international company at the .com address again all pointing to this .co.za website being a scam or clone. Noticing they have reviews on trust pilot I went to report them as a scam there, it was only after this that that they replied to my negative review there that I was able to contact them and they called me, someone called from America or some foreigner with about 5 seconds lag on the call which was most enjoyable. In any case they eventually emailed me and claimed I had not paid when they had initiated the payment through the credit card and its showing as deducted on my bank. I will update this review and the one on trust pilot if anything changes. TLDR; Possible scam website, no such local company, not a local business, website does not work correctly but takes your money.
I run a business and have major difficulties in getting them to collect when customers order from our online store. They are partnered with Courier IT who does the actual collections and deliveries and sometimes they don't collect for several days making customers wait even longer for their orders to be delivered to the pargo points, I even phone them to remind them after they have not collected for a day. I email [email protected] and they never respond so it looks like the only alternative is to stop using them and use PUDO or PAXI instead.
Absolutely disgusting support or rather lack thereof. Extremely arrogant and incompetent support staff giving you the run around and repeating the same useless information over and over. I am extremely disgusted by the service from Axxess support, this is what you can expect if you decide to use their services and things stop working. TLDR; Axxess Telkom Fixed LTE just stopped working for no reason, support gives run around and treat you like a child, am I the c*nt here? I've been with them for over a year now (March 2021) and I must say I am extremely impressed with the performance of their servers, I have two VPS' with them now, server load is often 0.05 or less sometimes 0.00, I am running quite a few services on them and while not very busy every other provider I have used for the same services system loads have been 0.5 and even over 1.0 usually due to IO. I also have one of their shared hosting services for the past few months and zero issues with mail and websites. Whenever I needed to contact support they did assist quickly and I never had any problems with them or the services over the past year. I will personally recommend AbsoluteHosting.co.za to everyone. I can't speak for the negative reviews I can only give my own personal experience and opinion.
I have been using Sage One Accounting since 2015 so I have many years of experience with this platform and for the first few years the SaaS platform performed well but in recent years we've had more frequent issues, downtime and extremely poor performance and bugs. It can be extremely frustrating when a customer is standing in front of you and you're trying to make them an invoice and the system hangs for minutes. Sage Support is also not very efficient, they appear to have some sort of ticket system but there is no way for a client to view progress or reply to tickets without finding the most recent reply from Sage and replying to it, this makes it difficult to track tickets and their progress if any, mostly you will get canned responses and not get any real human reply if your issue is not resolved by the canned response. The system will frequently show up errors or hang indefinitely, this means you will often have to re-do documents or re-use duplicates that have been created due to the malfunctioning system. Some bugs never get resolved, for example there is a bug that has been prevalent for the last 6 months or more where document totals when displaying a document will differ to totals in lists and reports by 1 cent, how can you do accounting if you can't even be accurate? This weekend past Sage moved to Amazon Web Services which we were told or it was at least it was implied that this move would improve stability and performance of the system yet today the system is yet again worse than ever, you can see all the complaints on their community forum at https://www.sagecity.com/za/sage-one-accounting-south-africa/ I would have taken this review there but unfortunately they banned me for telling the truth. I have had enough of this company and will be moving to another provider end of this financial year.
Trying to cancel 5G since 15 November 2021 it is now 3 December 2021 they do not reply to tickets that get created when you click cancel in their customer area. I clicked cancel several times over several weeks and all it does is open a new ticket, they eventually responded on the one ticket several times asking if I have been assisted and how they can help me, honestly, I just clicked cancel you would know that still I reply and say I have not been assisted and state I want to cancel the 5G as there is no coverage and they must collect their router, no response, days later they reply again with the same canned response. 15/11 requested cancel received email that ticket opened. 20/11 Refilwe Mthimunye replies "Please let me know if you have already been assisted ?" to which I reply no. 02/12 Sithandiwe Gumede replies "Please let me know if you have already been assisted? If not can you please let me know how I can help you." to which I reply no I need to cancel the 5G. I am absolutely disgusted by this service, I have been charged two months for 5G which I cannot use as there is no coverage. I will be placing a stop order with my bank and be cancelling all my rain sim cards and will never do business with them again.
MTN refuses to cancel our contracts despite requests for months, their MTN stores refuse to assist with cancellation of a contract as well. Their customer support is atrocious we have had to resort putting stop orders in at the bank so they can no longer take money from our accounts, cancellations were requested on letterheads per their procedure with copy of the directors ID but they simply refuse to cancel, on the one contract they claim it is already on pay as you go and that the funds have not been taken from our bank but we have the transaction on our bank statements to prove it, absolutely pathetic and unacceptable.
SageOne Accounting has really gone down in the past few months, for the past two weeks with no end in sight users have been unable to conduct business during business hours, if you're lucky enough to be able to log in, you will be unable to do any accounting work due to constant errors on every click. You're forced to work at night time which at least allows you to complete vital work. You can not run a business with accounting software like this that does not work for weeks during business hours. https://status.sage.com their status website tries to downplay the severity of the situation but claiming only some users are affected and claiming that only intermittent issues are experienced however every user will tell you this is not the case. At times you can not even load the web page https://accounting.sageone.co.za receiving 502 errors instantly, from any ip or browser even through a VPN which means its not just some users, its anybody anywhere in the world. The status page also also been claiming since this started some two weeks ago that they are working around the clock to fix the issue, I don't believe this for one second. No issue takes two weeks of working around the clock to resolve. It has become clear to me that Sage either has incompetent staff or they have simply outsourced everything to some incompetent third party. What should be made abundantly clear to anyone reading this, stay away from Sage they don't care about their customers only their money. P.S. I have even been banned from their SageCity.com customer self help portal because I speak the truth. Sage, rot in hell. I hope this situation results in you losing a lot of money.
I have bought dried products and nuts from their website several times over the last couple of years and have always enjoyed their products, their products are well packaged usually in 1 KG bags and fresh and tasty, I enjoy their mixes most of all. Their cashew nut-butter is the best nut spread I have ever had. The only product I did not like is their giant peanuts.
My favourite local crypto exchange. I have been using Luno since they were BitX so you know I know what I'm talking about. I have used other local exchanges and none of them compare to Luno in terms of features and usability, they are really comparable to the top international crypto exchanges. They make it so easy there is no reason for anyone not to get into crypto, they have mountains of information on their website and there are virtually no fees involved. I personally recommend everyone to Luno for trading, 0% maker fees F**k yeah. *** Before submitting this review I checked Luno on hellopeter and I would like to comment on these 1 star reviews and claims of scams. Several reviews claim Luno will steal your money and their account got hacked and "Luno's server has been hacked". To my knowledge this is bull, these idiots probably had their credentials stolen through phishing or something now they want to blame Luno, and/or they are not using two factor auth. Claims of depositing funds and having them not show I find highly unlikely, I often deposit (EFT) funds from my FNB account into Luno which usually shows up very quickly and I have never made a deposit and not have it been picked up, usually in a few hours but never more than 24 business hours. I can't comment on fees or what its like using Luno's app or using Luno as an online wallet since I only use their trading platform, I never recommend anyone use online wallets or apps you can't set your own fees. In any case, they tell you clearly what the fees are going to be, if you don't like the fees don't use the service? I don't know why Luno doesn't claim their business on Hellopeter so they can refute these claims which I believe are all false. Anyway that's all I have to say on Luno, have always used them and will always use them.
