Once again, I am extremely disappointed in the terrible service that we are receiving from Medshield. With my first c-section, it was an emergency so the costs were very high, Medshield only paid a very small portion thereof. I was on the phone with them for months but could still not manage to get the remainder of the money because every agent I spoke to, had a different story. Eventually I was desperate so I reported them on Hellopeter. Now, I had a c-section again, and again, only a portion of the gynecologist account was paid. I received communication from them yesterday and it seems that, once again, we are being sent in circles to avoid making payment. With a newborn baby and a toddler at home, it is very difficult to keep on phoning your medical aid and trying to get your money out of them. We are so tired of Medshield always having stories. Really, we religiously pay for membership every single month, why is it so difficult for them to pay what is owed to us.
We are extremely frustrated with Medshield. I had an emergency c-section but medshield only covered 20% of that cost. That is ridiculous. I have made numerous calls to medshield regarding this issue and everytime I speak to a different call centre agent and everytime they have a different story. I would never advise anyone to join this medical aid.
