Terrible service
Terrible service I went to the store directly to the Bakery area and I asked the guy who was behind the counter named Yusuf which cake is that that I pointed to he proceeded to tell me it was a carrot cake which then I agreed and told him to take it out from the fridge and give it to me as I wanted to purchase it I went to the ladies in the front paid for the cake and went home when I went home I realise that it’s not a carrot cake and the bite that I’ve taken had some green on it so I went back to the store and I told the ladies that this is the story the guy in the back told me a carrot cake I purchased it I went home and when I went home it was not a carrot cake and it has some green stuff on it the lady behind the counter proceeded to call her boss in which he says there is nothing they can do. I told the ladies that I am at a loss because your staff does not know which item is which that you are selling And there is green stuff on the cake the staff tells me that the green stuff on the cake is icing from another cake mind you there is no green cakes in the store at the time . She then proceeded to tell me to leave the cake behind the one that I paid for and write my details down on a paper which I did she said she will contact me the same day but she didn’t now it’s the day after and I’m trying to contact them from the morning because again the cake that I paid R85 for is left in the store and I have no answers so now I’m at a loss of Because the staff does not know what they’re doing. I proceeded to even tell the lady behind the counter that I do not mind actually returning the cake and getting a carrot cake which is promised to me or even another cake that I will be happy with and nothing was done.

Very disappointed!
Dumplings are a 5/10.. As for the beef/chicken/prawns fried rice I'm extremely disappointed that is a solid 1/10, all the dishes has a chemical taste.. And as for the sweet and sour chicken it's literally chicken nuggets with salty noodles and watered-down cheap tomato sauce... Overall very disappointed..

Don't eat here!
Food was absolutely disgusting. No flavor, the dish my partner order was still frozen. My dish was supposed to be served to my table in a cheese wheel however it wasn't. All in all a horrible experience. The little chilli oil that was given was off, I even asked the waiter to try and she said yes it is off. The halloumi starter was hard and cold, the little sauce on the bottom was sour. We paid our bill and left as soon we could.

Cupcake level has dropped so low.. No chocolate sauce.. Not enough ice-cream.. And then the hard cake.. For what R35, 00 for one .. Give it back to McDonald's if you'll can't do it right..

After being let down on valentines day by another restaurant, KFC GATEWAY Mall killed it!!! I mean service on point, dunked wings on point!!!

That's how you lose customers..
My bf made a reservation just for two on valentine day, we sat and waited 45 minutes till our drinks were given to us. The table seated next to us came in about 10 minutes after us, was given their drinks at 15 minutes and starters at 45 minutes.We then proceeded to wait an hour and a half, with no communication with our server. At that point we got up and went to pay for our drinks, which another server had said that we need to pay for our full bill yet we haven't eaten anything. Once I explained to the gentleman at the reception, he proceeded to give us our drinks for free and we walked out starving. Ps. Please put the telephone volume down for a hour and half it gave me a headache and don't slack.. That's how you lose customers.. It's understandable that it was a hectic day, but slacking

Respect your neighbors
Checkmart and it's disgusting smell. It's is always dirty and has a weird smell at all times. I feel sorry for those who live around the shop cause the stink engulfs my residence... The rotten meat and vegetables gets piled up in a bin, leaving it to kill is their stink.. Yuck.. Respect your neighbors.
