Petrus was very helpful and efficient in attend my query.
I would like to write a review about Rain Internet Service Provider. They are very innovative and easy to deal with. Their call call centre agents are on the ball particularly a gentleman named Luvo, I think. He made sure that my query is closed even if it took a week. I was not satisfied with a product and wanted to terminate the service but he made sure that I was happy and satisfied by ensuring that I got another unit to my satisfaction. He went very far to ensure that I was retained as a customer and I was impressed by that!
I have been a loyal customer of MTN for +-20 years of which for more than 15years of those years I have been a contract customer. However, in the last two year I had to review my loyalty due to a plethora of issues I have had with the mobile network provider and as such, I elected to remain on a month to month contract basis . As recent as Monday 28 August 2017, I've had to critically assess my August bill due to the amount the service provider is claiming I owe (R3559.86). My average spent for the year to date is R454.20, which I would say is well managed account. I therefore for the life of me cannot fathom this astronomical bill. After a number of calls to their call center, they advise me that the matter has been resolve and that I should refer the itemized billing statement as the billing is correct. One of the call center agent I spoke to informed me that it is due to out of bundle charges. When I interrogated the itemized billing, I picked up that I was changed R2492.95 for 4GB of data. This is obviously beyond ridiculousness because this translates to R623.24 per gig. To put this to perspective, I as a contract customer am charged a tariff that is more than that of a prepaid customer (R160/1GB). The odd thing about this is, early in the month and on Monday 28 August 2017 they had a call center agent calling me with regards to renewing the contract. I cannot help to think that this could perhaps be a ploy in forcing my hand into signing up for a new 24 month contract as it is very coincidental with respect to the timing of the call and the bill. Even if I did consume the 4GB, why would a contract customer pay a tariff that is more than a prepaid customer? This I find fraudulent because when they entice you to sign a contract, they state that the tariffs on contracts are much cheaper and better than that of prepaid. I am therefore very frustrated because if I do not pay this bill, they will block my phone and blemish my credit record.
