We placed an order and paid on 16 December which included R150 courier fee for delivery to our door. On the 19th December, I received an email from Michael Meyer apologizing and informing me that there will be a two week delay in delivery. I ordered this torch for my husband for Christmas. It is now a month later and we still haven't received the torch. We have tried sending an email and phoned the Jhb and CT numbers but you get a pre-recorded message about high call volumes and then eventually the phone cuts out. On looking into this company, I am convinced that this is a ****mer. The following companies have used his contact details: All Net Holdings (Pty) Ltd, Olight Flashlight Online Shop, Huntalot Gear, Animal Gear Outdoor Online Shop.
We were booked to do a whole lot of activities with them and they cancelled half, citing coronavirus and we cancelled the other half for the same reason. We were given 48 hours to leave Norway before they closed the airports. We cancelled 5 days before our activties would have started. They refunded us R14000. 00 less than what we paid.
We bought a policy on the 24 December as we needed one before applying for our visa to go to Norway on the 4th March. While in Norway we were notified that Denmark were closing their borders. I contacted TIC via their app on my phone. Cindy was on live chat and only wanted to know, "Have you purchased your travel tickets and the TIC policy within 48 hours of each other?" I said, "I am not sure, but what difference does that make?" The policy was for insurance from 3 March to the 31 March, I thought we were covered. According to the fine print, the policy and the travel tickets have to be purchased within 48 hours of each other, otherwise you cannot claim anything for Journey Curtailment, not the cost of the tickets, nothing! We weren't told this when we bought the policy, but it is in the fine print.
My husband phoned Cape Town Harley Davidson enquiring whether they would be getting stock of the new 2018 CVO Street Glide in Dark Alloy & Black Denim as he wanted to buy one. On 21 October we received an email from Julian van Heerden at Cape Town Harley Davidson with a photo of the exact bike my husband wanted and an attachment with their banking details on. The email read as follows: Thank you for the call earlier, please confirm that this is the bike you are looking for in the attached picture. Also please find attached banking details for the deposit, there is literally a list of people wanting this bike but if I can get a deposit on it i can reserve it for you. We paid R100 000.00 on 23 October and sent them the proof of payment. A week or two later, my husband was informed that Cape Town Harley Davidson were not getting the bike in the colour he wanted, they were getting a Gunship Grey one. My husband asked them to return his deposit as he only wanted the Dark Alloy & Black Denim one, so would buy it from another dealer. It is more than a month ago and we are still waiting for the deposit to be refunded. They have given us the run around, I was even asked to resend the proof of payment. Every time my husband phones Julian he hears the money will be in your account tomorrow. I am writing this to warn any potential customers not to give Cape Town Harley Davidson a deposit on anything because if they cannot deliver the goods, you struggle to get your deposit back.
