My daughter has a Nedbank business account with Amex and Green Bucks rewards account. Her card was blocked by Nedbank - without any reason - she had to apply for a new card and also pay for the new card - my daughter gave instruction to them to please send the new card to the Nedbank Branch Menlyn where she will collect it as soon as it arrives. Nedbank ignored this request and arrived at her home address - take note she is also a full time student thus the arrangement to collect at the branch, which they ignored... As everybody is also well aware off - Nedbank has the Green Bucks reward system which was guaranteed to her will be allocated by the person responsible for her account - which was never done - up to date it still hasn't been activated and all forms of communication is being ignored or just brushed off. I have a substantiation family trust account with Nedbank and should they not resolve this amicably - I will be forced to move the trust account and also close all other accounts my family have with this bank. Dealing with this bank for over 40 years - and this is how you are treated. Highly appalled! Extremely disappointing!
I don't know what to say anymore - I have called - logged complaints - previously placed a complaint on hellopeter.com after which Standard Bank called me and promised me they are making my complaint a priority and up to date ... absolutely nothing... my house was struck with lightning ... aircon gone ... all outside light gone ... so what is my next option to get you attention Standard Bank ...
I wish to formally lodge a complaint regarding the extremely disappointing service we received at Truworths South Africa, specifically at their branch located in Menlyn Shopping Centre. We ordered a dress from another branch and were notified that it had eventually arrived at the Menlyn branch for collection. Upon arrival, instead of receiving professional assistance, we were treated with a shocking level of disregard and disrespect. The manner in which we were spoken to and handled made us feel as though we were not worthy of basic customer service or attention. When we requested that a staff member open the parcel so that we could verify the dress and ensure that the correct item had been sent, our request was outright refused. We were told to open the package ourselves. As paying customers, it is not our responsibility to open store parcels; it is standard retail practice for staff to assist in such matters to ensure correctness and accountability. After considerable insistence and repeated requests, someone was eventually called to open the parcel. However, even then, the attitude and treatment we received were extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. The entire experience was humiliating and deeply disappointing. Based on this appalling experience, we cannot recommend the Menlyn Park Shopping Centre branch to anyone. If this is the level of service extended to paying customers, it raises serious concerns about customer care standards. We strongly urge management to address this matter urgently, as such treatment reflects poorly on the brand as a whole. Unless significant improvements are made, we would advise customers to reconsider making use of this branch’s services.
If there were a no-star to choose from, I would with utmost cer*****y have gone with that option. We have logged a complaint with Standard Bank Home Owners Insurance on 23 December 2025 and up to date nobody has responded. They did acknowledge that they received the email and will be in contact shortly, to no avail. We have been with them for 23 years this year! Highly disgusted with their service - it is something to be desired!
I have been trying for over 4 years now to get any response back from Standard Bank regarding archived personal and bank statements - absolutely to no avail!!! I need these statements extremely urgently. I have tried to explain to them, even went into the branch several times, but every single time it is just empty promises... I am still waiting for the statements and I need it for a legal issue urgently!
We reported damage to our property due to thunderstorms in December already - the following where damaged due to the lightning: electrical fence, swimming pool pump, intercom at front gate, electrical fence, outside lights... only the swimming pool pump has been attended to - the rest hasn't been touched... why do we then have insurance... extremely upset customer... and take note I have been a customer of standard Bank for over 25 years...

My vehicle has been with them for a minor repair now for over 6 weeks and all of a sudden after I visited them last week Friday, I realized that they haven't even started working on the vehicle after I have the approval documentation in my possession for them to proceed... they think we are idiots. Furthermore, they wanted to write off one of my other vehicles and after I have taken it to another mechanic the so-called write of vehicle has been fixed for R5700..
We bought a White BMW 320i from this dealership in June of 2023 for R100 000. One (1) week after we bought this car we noticed all sorts of faults - from the gearbox that was faulty to the engine. After inspection it was found that this car was in a severe accident and that the car was either never s****ped or re-coded. This was never mentioned to us. We have reported this to MIOSA and after almost 4 months of investigation we just can't get any answers back. They took the money of an 18 year old girl - R100 000.00 - and gave her a piece of metal that is not even able to pass a roadworthy test. Don't buy from this dealership at all. We paid R25 000.00 over the actual value of R75 000 book value as the car as was sold to us as a low mileage vehicle, ideal for a young ladies first car which is extremely trustworthy and now we can't get a response from anybody. This is my second post on hellopeter regarding my Home Owners Insurance claim that was approved. Mr Technology was send out to come and fix my electrical fence, but it is still not working. Zander from Mr. Technology said that the Power Supply Box was struck with lightning and needs to be replaced. Up to now, nobody came to fix it. I place it on record here that my families' safety and security now lies in the hands of Standard Bank. Should I suffer any losses, damages or even ******** entry, I hold Standard Bank liable for this as they have approved this claim!
