I bought the Polaroid GPS Sports Watch from Clicks about 2 weeks ago. I’ve set up everything that needs to be set up. I use the watch for my steps, playing squash, heart rate while working out and resting heart rate. For the past couple of times I’ve played squash it rated my heart rate at a maximum of about 121 bpm. When I cycle at the gym my heart beat reaches about 101 bpm. I use the heart rate on the bicycle which indicates 121-130bpm. This Polaroid watch is seriously inaccurate by at least 20-30 bpm less on average. My heart rate when playing squash sessions from past experience, my heart rate is between 140-170bpm. My resting heart rate was showing as 49/50bpm which is seriously inaccurate. Is there a way to reset the watch to see if I can get more accurate readings from the watch?

I bought watch 16 January 2026 @ makro woodmead and when I got home and trying to set it up does not show features. I went back to makro on the 17 January 2026 I was told the watch is old, and they can only sent it to repairs. They even said that is not the model of Polaroid. I'm disappointed, hurt at the same time

I'm absolutely appalled at this supposed Fitness Smart Watch PA88. There is absolutely nothing smart about it. If fact, it's just a gloried pedometer. It does not in fact have multi sports modes because none of them even work. The calorie counter is useless and the steps are inaccurate. When I first started using it in August 2024 after I bought it, I noticed a few issues. I contacted Polaroid Support and was told to reset the watch and install a different tracking app. Which I tried multiple times. Then the consultant told me to send the watch in for repairs which I did. After waiting for weeks for my watch, it came back exactly the same. (This was in December 2024 and January 2025) I sent the watch back for repairs in February and I was told that it was fixed. When I eventually got it back in March, the only thing that was working properly was the pedometer. Now I have an added issue and the watch battery only lasts 4 days and won't charge properly. Previously, the battery would last ten days. I emailed support for what must be the 4th of 5th time and this was the response: Hi Taryn Augustine, Polaroid smar****ches, like other consumer-grade wearables, are not intended for medical diagnosis or treatment. While they may offer health-related features like heart rate monitoring, fitness tracking, or sleep analysis, their accuracy and reliability are not sufficient for medical decision-making. Remember, smar****ches and wearables are great for tracking your general wellness and fitness. It is always best to consult a qualified healthcare professional for personalized advice, as they can provide accurate and reliable assessments using medical-grade equipment and expertise. Kind Regards Purity Zulu Online Customer Service Agent T: 011 430 6005| Ext 2443 E: [email protected] | www.homemark.co.za What the hell? I'm not expecting a miracle working medical device. I want a smart fitness watch that does what is was designed to do. Tracking general wellness and fitness! A fitness watch that cannot track fitness! What a joke! I want a full refund. You have wasted my time, petrol, money and energy. Leave the smart fitness watches to FitBit and Garmin, because you clearly have no idea what you are doing.

I brought fitness watch recently, the charge hardly lasted, the major problem is that the working part of the watch face fell out of the strap while I was shopping and I didn't notice until I got home. Polaroid say they will only honor the warranty if I return the whole watch, the point is fairly obvious - I can't due to their faulty workmanship, Their customer service and so called warranty is appalling.

I bought the polaroid watch at dischem sea point under the impression that it works almost like an apple watch though not exactly the same. The back of the watch says water resistant and there is a swimming sport mode there. I swam with the watch thinking this is water resistant as per engraving on the back of the watch. I tried to return the watch for a refund or replacement and this was denied?! They say its water proof not resistant?! The device and the terms and conditions surely are contradicting each other and i as the customer has to suffer the consequences? Polaroid SA please do better!
