Completely Unacceptable and Unprofessional Service! My experience with Pine Timbers, Springfield Park has been absolutely unacceptable. As a first-time buyer for my company, I placed an order for timber valued at R963, yet when my father went to make payment, the cashier mixed up the orders and charged him R4,963 instead. My father immediately questioned the cashier before making payment, pointing out that the order total was R963 and not R4,963, but she insisted that everything was correct on their side. It was not. A few hours later, I noticed the overcharge through my business banking app and contacted the store. The response I received was unprofessional and dismissive, with no accountability or urgency. I provided all proof of payment and documentation for the refund immediately. Despite this, three days have now passed, and I still have not received my refund. Because of Pine Timbers’ negligence, I’ve been unable to purchase other materials needed for my client’s project. As a result, I’ve had to personally pay my tiler and painter for the days they were booked but could not work — a direct financial loss caused entirely by their error. When I visited the store in person again-yesterday, the HR/Manager was apologetic, but the Gentleman responsible for processing refunds showed no urgency or concern. To make matters worse, even my simple inquiry about whether my order was complete went unanswered — no one could confirm, and no one has followed up despite me asking them personally. This experience has caused me financial loss, wasted time, and reputational damage with my client. Pine Timbers’ lack of professionalism, accountability, and urgency is deeply concerning for any business dealing with them. I strongly advise anyone considering Pine Timbers Springfield Park to avoid them entirely. Their poor service, payment errors, and complete disregard for customers are unacceptable. The inconvenience! My father had to stop work and return there with the card despite me sending banking confirmation and ID.I had to pay my tiler and painter for the days booked. My client took days off so we could complete the project which we cant due to them holding our funds.I also had to take a day off from work to go there personally from Chatsworth to Springfield. Still no progress. My project is now on hold because I cannot pay my painter and tiler indefinitely without my other materials. My client is very upset. My business name is tarnished.

I cannot begin to put into words how HORRIBLE the experience has been. Even when they get your order wrong, MULTIPLE times, they refuse to give you a refund. You are stuck, in an endless back and forth, dealing with ever-changing personnel, and no one can seem to get the order right.

I placed an order on 10th August 2024. I was told in September that they were waiting for the cutting list which they received from the carpenter I hired to to do the fittings. I waited till after December and contacted them during the January 2025 period and was told that they are waiting for the carpenter to collect. When I ordered the stuff I paid for delivery to my premises so why are they waiting for the carpenter to have my stuff delivered. I went in on the 17th February 2025, I was given the run around. The person at the dispatch refused to look for my order, siting that he needs to see my receipt that I have paid. I have the order details(number) ,but still refused to get my order. mean while at the front desk they say that my order was read last year. If so why did they not deliver it then. My question is if the order was prepared and was ready for dispatch, why am I given the run around. My answer is that nothing was done since I made payment in August 2024. I was assured by the manager that I will receive a call from her to resolve the issue today 2025-02-18. I waited the whole of the morning but never received any calls. When I contact the company the call taker says that the manager is not available and that she will give her the message. You and everyone else knows that is '' BS''.I have still not received a call from her. I have dealt with PINE TIMBER before but I will never recommend them to anyone based on this experience

The service that my contractor received from Pine Timbers was absolutely disgusting and the lady that he dealt with was extremely rude and unprofessional. They made a mistake when receiving an order. The order was for melamine PG bison boards to make a book shelf and we were supplied with melamine sheets. Now I have to pay for another delivery to correct the mistake and I am going to have all these sheets that I have no use for. This order was submitted in writing and the lady is adamant that it was not her fault and we must absorb all additional costs.

We ordered and paid for boards on 6 September 2021. The initially sent our order to another customer. When they did send our order the sizes were wrong. So they picked up the incorrect sizes to correct it. After numerous visits and calls, they finally delivered our order. They also delivered another customers order to our place. We informed them on the day that they delivered it, which was probably 3 weeks ago, and they have not collected it. Pathetic service. The quality of the edging is horrible. They did not even bother to whip the glue from the edges. I will never go back there.

My father after conducting business for over 20 years with Pine Timber in Springfield Park, was treated in an inhumane manner by this company. They supplied us a PG Bison Melawood sample box ( which we are now told is incorrect ) and the order of incorrect boards is something we must deal with. I tried to reason with the owner that if PG Bison is their supplier and if their supplier gave the wrong sample box should he not take it up with them. He refused to listen, raised his voice at my father and told him he is incompetent, my father is a carpenter from the age of 20. I am disgusted to know that business like this has no regard for people and no customer care. Being yelled and screamed at in front of staff and other customers is highly undignified and unprofessional. Especially their sales rep did not ask my father what finish he wanted (peen or linear), we went according to the sample box.I would advise any one who wants to be treated like a human to not support Pine Timber Springfield Park.
