Suzuki not wanting to service vehicle
My mom bought a car on her name for me from Penta in 2022 - a Suzuki Spresso. According to the contract the service plan was 4year/60000km which was stated clearly as expiring 06 June 2026 or 60 000km which ever comes first. I however did not travel the 15 000km every year and serviced it based on the years. They however indicated in year 1 that it is the 15 000km service and in year 2 the 30 000km service when I was far from that kilometres needed. Now they say I am at the 60 000km because it was serviced a 4th time but I am not on 60 000km yet but now they do not want to service my vehicle. This is unacceptable.

I had a phone call from Penta Motor Group explaining to me that the service plan is 4 services or 60 000km. This was not stipulated in the contract as it says 4 years or 60 000km whichever comes first. The 4 years expires on 06 June 2026 which is not yet and my car does not have 60 000km on the Odo meter. They are therefore not going as per the contract as the contract did NOT state 4 services but 4years. This is unacceptable as the contract is legal and binding.

The service plan on your Suzuki S-Presso is based on scheduled services, which are linked to either time or mileage intervals—whichever comes first. This means that even if the required mileage has not been reached, services are still carried out annually in line with the manufacturer’s schedule.
Each service completed (e.g. 15,000 km, 30,000 km, etc.) forms part of a sequence of scheduled services, regardless of the actual mileage at the time. As a result, once the allocated number of services under the 4-year / 60,000 km plan has been completed, the plan is considered fully utilised—even if the vehicle has not yet reached 60,000 km.
We do understand how this can be confusing, especially when the mileage has not been reached, and we apologise for any frustration this may have caused.

I am still not satisfied with the response. When I bought the vehicle it was only explained that the service plan is 4years and 60 000km and NOT 4 services. I feel the contract is not adhered to as this was not explained properly when I bought the vehicle. I will therefore lodge a formal complaint at the Motor Industry Ombudsman.
