The food was terrible. Mussels weren’t fresh. Flies landed in my food and as a result I couldn’t finish it. Woke up with an upset stomach the food was coming out on both ends. I give the food 1/10. Service- our waiter was amazing I just forgot his name.

What an excellent restaurant! From a smooth online reservation, being greeted super friendly and having the best meal we have had in a long time... Our whole experience was amazing! Well done On the Rocks - you nailed it!

Very poor customer service from the minute I walked in, the staff is very ****** from the manager (NIKITA) down to her staff. She thought her staff to be ****** very well .. I mean whose still ****** in out time.. very horrible service. I’m not happy at all .. @Hellopeter please do something about this matter. On the rocks Blouberg descriminated me and my husband over smoking on the outside while when we reserved they told us we can smoke outside.

Reason for my review is for On the rocks to improve their menu/meals. This was my 2nd time eating at On the rocks. I came here for the 2nd time as I enjoyed their food the 1st time I came. This time however the food was underwhelming. The starter was very good, but the main ( rice, calamari, line fish and mussels) were very bland, tasteless and the dessert which was (death by chocolate) was awful, did not enjoy it at all.

I went to On the Rocks for my birthday on Friday, 19 March, and had an incredible evening with my family! I usually check for reviews online before I got to a new place but I didn't this time because my husband made the reservation. I had a starter and a dessert and everyone else had a 3-course meal. EVERYBODY enjoyed their meals - it was scrumptious! We decided to keep going there for special occasions. If you like creamy, cheesy food, my husband recommends the Fish roulade with risotto. Portions are ginormous and you get so much value for the amount you pay. My brother had their Paella and him and his girlfriend continued to eat that for 2 days after bringing home the leftovers. My mother had the Kudu fillet with mash, which she also loved. There were too many delicious meals to list, including the starters! If you're a dessert person, their Creme Brulee is decadent and I won't bother suggesting anything else. End of Story. Go try them for yourself.

On Sunday morning we decided to go for breakfast and decided on Petit Fours but when there my husband said lets try On the Rocks... I had been there once before and hadn't felt the need to return but he decided it was worth a try. How wrong were we...... we were given our table when the coffee came we had to call the waitress back for the sugar as there was none on the table... her response was "someone must have pinched it' we also had to ask for serviettes. I had French toast which was lovely my Husband ordered eggs Benedict ...bad move....They duly arrived with the tiniest bit of sauce but more worrying was the one egg was so undercooked there was the raw egg white pouring out of it once he got half way through the first one. My husband tried to eat it and two thirds through the first one he said he just couldn't anymore so we sent it back. I think what amazed us more than anything is the plate was returned with just one egg on it and not the two.. granted he had eaten just over half the first one but hells bells the chef/cook could see all the raw egg white on the plate yet they were too mean to replace both.. 5 minutes later we watched another eggs benedict being sent back to the kitchen... I wonder why... Never again.... there are so many better options for breakfast down there
