December 25 I visited the olive & oil restaurant st the Pavilion Shopping Centre to oder the sea platte , the times between 14hrs and 15hrs On Thursday afternoon, I was ill treated by the front desk The staff informed me that they do not accept walk-in orders, despite my request for a takeaway. I was dismissed and told that customers with reservations were prioritized over me.The male front working personal had to push me outside of the shop I was subjected to aggressive behavior simply for attempting to order food.

Been at this establishment several times and the food has always been tasty 🤤 , I find the specials to be value for money. The waiters and waitresses are super friendly and top tier. Today my wife was at your establishment with her friends and she decided to get takeaways for me. While she and her friends had a pleasant experience the same cannot be said about the meal she brought home😓. The ribs had some horrible after taste. It is like they were prepared and then frozen only to be defrosted and sold as takeaways 🤮, the corn was dry and tasteless. I am convinced that there’s a separate kitchen that prepares takeaway orders which is not of the same quality as the eat-ins. Utterly disappointed as these were by far the worst meal I’ve ever tasted from your establishment. ☹️

My two friends and I went out for lunch at the pavilion to celebrate her engagement. We decided to visit elephant and co. Firstly we were not able to sit at the table with the sofa because it was a table for 6 (it's was at 11:30am with about four other customers) fair enough we woke up to sit outside, only to be told it was a drinks area. We then proceeded back inside to be seated, were we then put a small crown that said bride and a sash on my friend just to commemorate the day only to be told that it was Not Allowed. As infuriating as it was we still stayed and removed the items from her, complementary drinks were given. When it came time to order our waiter said that he was unsure if they have what we ordered from the menu and went back to check. He came back and said that everything was fine, a few minutes later we get another waiter coming to us to say that they don't have one of the items we order. Complementary drinks or not, we had had enough and decided to move to olive and oil next door. When we entered we asked if we could put the crown and sash on my friend and we received a yes. Once seated the same man came to us and said that his manager said that they don't allow it and asked for us to remove it. Imagine a simple sash and crown! So we asked him how do they allow birthdays at their restaurant but can't allow a group of 3 people with one person wearing a simple crown and sash. All we got for an answer was, unfortunately it's not allowed (wow, clarification at its best). We removed the items and decided to grit our teeth and stay as to not make our friends day worse. During the meal, we had a young boy running around jumping on the sofa while customers ate. Seems to be someone's kid who has influence in the restaurant as the waiters just straighten the toppled items and didn't say a word to anyone. I had a feeling that it was too much of a coincidence that we had such a bad experience at both elephant and co, and the olive and oil. It was strange how we were allowed to use the crown and sash and then all of a sudden asked to remove it. We then asked our waiter if the restaurants are somehow linked to which we got a yes. Double standards are unreal and an altogether terrible experience.

Wow!!! What an awesome lunch for my mom's birthday lunch last Saturday. All eight of us thoroughly enjoyed the food. The taste and flavours are out of this world. It's not food just turned out of the kitchen, it was a culinary creation. Service was very professional 👏 Thank you so much for the perfect day 😀

We visited the branch in Oceans Mall, Umhlanga. The food didn't take a long time to arrive, despite it being dinner on a Saturday night. With that being said, if you're looking for quiet, intimate dining, this place can get very loud on a Saturday night. I look forward to trying more items from their menu.

We were celebrating my Aunty's 70th birthday. The service was extremely slow as they only allocated one waiter to serve all 30 of us (His name-Mlu, who had a good attitude but just could not cope). On enquiring with Sbo Khwela who is suppose to be the manager why one waiter was allocated to us, he was very rude, more interested in arguing than listening and resolving the matter. I am just wondering if he, as a MANAGER, treats all clients like that! No care in the world about the issue presented to him, only concerned about telling us we keep getting up for speeches and my question is in such a confined space only 2 or 3 people are up at the same time, why is that even an issue at a birthday celebration except that he was running away from the fact that he did not want to allocate us another waiter n that's that. Mlu worked tirelessly on his own until the end and the manager did not care to resolve the matter. Why accept big groups if you can't cope!? Why even have a rude manager who can't resolve issues, who doesn't care about the reputation of the brand. No courtesy whatsoever!?! Mlu advised us he was suppose to be working with another lady but she cant make it to our tables because she is too busy with other tables. Mlu took the whole 28 orders on his own and we
