What was supposed be a wonderful experience - wedding dress fitting etc.. turned into a nightmare. I really wish I read reviews before I contacted them for my dress. I will not ever recommend them to anybody. Very unprofessional. Hidden costs are only one of many problems. When I went to fetch my dress (already paid for) they couldn't find it. Shoved my dress into a black bag because they had no dress bags. In the end I did not trust her enough to leave without a dress. I would probably not get my money back. I left with a dress not my size as well as in the wrong color, but at least I have a dress.

On the 26th of January 2019, Morgan brown were exhibiting at the Oakfield farm bridal open day. the Owner an Indian lady had 2 temp sales ladies which were assisting her. she treated them like they were robots, they were not allowed to drink water or even go to the bathroom. these ladies have been standing at the stand from 8am til 17h00 when the expo closed for the saturday. she left the stand around lunch time to collect food as the Oakfield farm gives you lunch, she could only collect for 2 people because she only had 2 tags...so how she snuck in the ladies, only her and her husband know. she proceeded to hiding the food behind the stand, and when the husband eventually came, she gave him the food and kept some for herself. the girls have been standing since 8am, no water, food and evne the loo. if they dared spoke to anyone or accepted food or drinks, she would scream at them. Im truly DISGUSTED BY HER BEHAVIOUR AND TREATMENT TOWARDS THE GIRLS. I even doubt she paid them for that day.

Brides to be, never ever consider renting anything from Morgan & Brown North Riding! They are liars who hide and omit hidden costs until you've fallen in love with your dress! And once you've decided on your dress the "terms and conditions" come out and the additional costs just gets piled on. My budget was made very clear at the start of our appointment, but in the end they piled on an additional R4000 to what I originally agreed to spend, telling me it's industry standard for additional fees. And this is on top of the very intrusive manager who irritatingly keeps butting in and bosses the attendee around and who tells you while you're deciding on your dress that "there's a sale today only and the price includes EVERYTHING". But when you start arranging payment it's a very different story. If you're considering this place, make sure you get ALL terms and conditions before even look at dresses as they claim it's standard to only disclose additional costs after you've made you decision!!??. The hidden costs are rediculous and they do not stick to your budget! You've been warned!

On our first appointment with them the staff was very helpful. We don't want to buy a dress we only want to hire it. They made a price on the dress and we were given an invoice, this included the alterations and the dry cleaning after the wedding. After the first alterations date, Vee, the Sales Manager, send an email that there is additional cost for hiring the petticoat (R1000-00, of which R600 is refundable on return) and then she say the belt (R750-00) was not for hire and that we must buy it, and then again they offer the belt for rent but we decided to buy it. Just before collecting the dress (SEPT 2015) we were informed that an extra R1500-00 was required for a deposit. This will be refunded 10 days from returning the dress. When we return the dress and petticoat on Monday 28 Sept 2015, more extra costs appear. This dress was inspected on return and no fault was found and nothing was said. Then came the telephone call (only 2 weeks after returning the dress), they cannot pay back the deposit because there was dirt on the dress that needs extra deep cleaning. This is the 3rd time cleaning it. Needles to say they have all sort of excuses for not paying back the deposit.

To all of you out there I would be very careful before you purchase a gown from Morgan and Brown. Now my wife purchased hers from them and there where loads of excuses for charges on us, what seemed like a very reasonably priced dressed at the start ended up costing us a lot more. When we bought the dress we where told the alterations needed would cost R450, only to be told a few months later when the alterations where actually done that the amount had changed to R1800. We also asked them to dry clean and fix the dress after the wedding which we agreed to an amount of, on collection we where given some excuse an additional R250 needed to be paid. So be very careful as they tell you one thing around pricing but once you have bought the dress they have then got you and can charge what they want. I would be skeptical of them to say the least! The quality of their men's suits are also extremely poor.
