Maxidor Roodepoort - Renault Kwid
The poor aftersales service has left us vulnerable. The manager refused to take responsibility for a sale of the salesperson that is no with the dealership. The vehicle has been in our possession for almost a year. The license disk has expired, and nobody can give feedback on the whereabouts of the registration papers (NATIS) to change the ownership. The vehicle was returned to have the defects checked and fixed for the duration of almost 3 months. It was returned with only one issue resolved. It is with great regret that I have to write this review, but after sales service is very important if the customer pays the premium every month for a vehicle that has issues.

We had a Maxidor gate installed in October 2024 and within just 8 months, it started rusting badly
We had a Maxidor gate installed in October 2024 and within just 8 months, it started rusting badly. This is unacceptable for a premium product that’s supposed to offer durability and long-term security. When we reported the issue, Maxidor refused responsibility and blamed us for “lack of maintenance,” even though we’ve followed basic care and have another Maxidor gate (installed over 5 years ago) in similar conditions that hasn’t rusted at all. Their response was dismissive, offering no meaningful solution no refund, no replacement, not even a proper inspection. It’s clear this is a quality or coating issue, not customer neglect. We are very disappointed in both the product and the customer service received. We expected more from a brand that claims to deliver quality. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Maxidor and are now considering consumer protection channels.

Unacceptable Lack of Urgency and Professionalism by Maxidor
I'm deeply disappointed and frustrated by the shocking lack of urgency, accountability, and professionalism shown by Rene, Derick, and the team at Maxidor P.E. After clearly acknowledging that they owe us R3630, they've casually indicated they'll pay by the "end of April" without giving an exact date. Despite numerous polite requests, they refuse to clarify precisely when the money will arrive. Their attitude toward this matter is alarming it feels as though they consider this situation trivial or unimportant, showing little to no concern for the inconvenience caused to us. Ignoring our emails, delaying responses, and providing vague promises have left us feeling disrespected and undervalued as customers. I strongly advise caution in dealing with Maxidor P.E as this level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability should not be tolerated.

Maxidor - Extremely Unprofessional and ********* and owe me money
Extremely Unprofessional and ********* Maxidor Still Owes R3,630.00 I am extremely disappointed in the way Maxidor handled a standalone job in Idutywa, Eastern Cape. After formally canceling my previous contract and pricing agreement in October 2024 which was acknowledged by their representative René I was contacted again in February 2025 for a one-off emergency job. A new quote for the Idutywa project was submitted and formally accepted by René. I have all supporting documentation. The job site was a 290 km round trip from me, through rural areas with rough, high-risk roads. Initially, I declined due to safety concerns and cost, but eventually agreed to help Maxidor out of a tight spot. Upon arrival, I found that the gates and garage doors provided by Maxidor did not fit the premises. Regardless, I still incurred costs for labor, fuel, and even had a tire damaged (costing over R2,000). I was then instructed by Derick, via a phone call which I recorded, to leave the gates at the client’s site. Maxidor then paid me a partial amount of R1,400, leaving a balance of R3,630.00 outstanding, despite my quote being accepted and the job completed to the extent possible under their mismanagement. Worse yet, I understand that Maxidor has already received full payment from the client, yet still refuses to pay the balance owed to me. This is completely ********* and unacceptable business practice. There was no active contract at the time only a one-off job with a clear, agreed-upon quote. I have proof of all communication, accepted pricing, and contract cancellation. Everybody was notified via email and SMS, but nobody has responded. The CEO, Alan McLellan (TEL: 061 034 6679, [email protected]), was cc'd in to hopefully help sort René and Derick out. All we want is what is due to us. If Maxidor values their reputation at all, I strongly urge them to honor their financial obligations and settle the outstanding R3,630.00 immediately. Avoid doing business with Maxidor unless you’re prepared to chase your own money.

100% demand for funds; 0% satisfied.
I had the unfortunate experience of giving MAXIDOR // Maxi Projects a chance with a minor works installation of a security door. The lead time was the first major hurdle as we are now on 28 working days. Secondly, a 70% deposit is required to commence with the order, however, prior to installation, the remainder of the balance is due. I do have a major issue with this as the leverage is shifted completely to Maxidor as they are now in control of acceptable installation standards and not the client/project manager. As a professional architect, I do not agree with this principle as satisfactory workmanship is essential prior to signing off a project, especially when working with client funds. Unfortunately, KONSEP Architecture Studio cannot recommend MAXIDOR to any client due to this business principle as our firm nor our clients have no ability to control the quality of workmanship. ***UPDATE 11.05.2024: After full payment has been demanded prior to any form of installation, the installers arrived only to realize that the security door was not measured correctly and therefor has to be returned to the factory to be modified, further delaying the installation. ***UPDATE 13.05.2024: We were informed that due to wrong measurement taken by the Maxidor representative that the product needs to be sent back to Cape Town and this will cause an additional delay of 7 working days, bringing the total working days to manufacture and install a single 2000mm x 900mm security shutter to 36 working days (50 calendar days). No feedback yet from any Maxidor representative

****mers!!!!!!
Poor quality product. Within a year of installation the security gate started to corrode. Salesman told me the company is being sold and I must take it up with new owners. Never heard from him again. Disappointing company, product and service.
