I paid MacWave R9,549.00 to repair my MacBook Pro M1. After the first repair, the MagSafe port, right-side USB-C port, and Touch ID all remained non-functional. MacWave collected the device for a second repair attempt at their cost. It was returned with the same faults unresolved, a misaligned trackpad, and a replacement keyboard that repeats characters on a single keystroke. MacWave also sent me a proforma invoice containing parts for an HP ProBook laptop, which has no relation to my device. Their own job card describes my MacBook Pro as a MacBook Air. A formal letter of demand was issued by my attorneys, Hanover and Tyke Attorneys, on 16 March 2026 under the Consumer Protection Act. MacWave failed to respond within the stipulated period. The matter has been referred to the National Consumer Commission and the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud. MacWave's email signature reads "No service No pay." I am holding them to that.
