I like to share the experience I receive from LGSETA ,after they call me for interviews and due to distance I requested for virtual interview ,they said no they don't do virtual because they reimbur*****t travel expenses. I attended the interview then after a month I asked about the claim process .they sent me forms to submit .I then submitted them and they requested the GPS coordinates to finalize the claim.i then send them . Now is been six months they don't even respond the emails. So never trust them when they said they will reimbur*****t you after the interview. They don't even communicate .

I m writing this on behalf of the students doing last year of plumbing apprenticeship with INDUSTRIES EDUCATION & TRAINING INSTITUTE funded by LGSETA Johannesburg, we have experienced a very disappointing and unprofessional services from both sides( the institution and the funding system). Our query goes like this there is a lack of communication,It took the institution and LGSETA like a whole full month come to up with our third year contract, they only communicated with us after we had to contact the the lgseta offices so many times with no specific answer they kept advising us that the provincial manager has to make a decision on the projects and when you ask the institution they say the premises were not yet sanitized therefor we cant attend the classes of which that can be done over a week, okay that one was attended to even though it took them like for ever, now we are facing the challenge of not getting the stipend for 6 months bare in mind we are still students that stipend does assist in terms of transport, when we ask the institution they say they have submitted the required documents to LGSETA finance and when you check with the LGSETA finance they say the ref that you are giving them is incorrect when you address that with the institution they say its impossible and its been 2 full weeks of run around, its so sad that even after 26 year of democracy we still facing suck things as a country because i believe some where some one is not doing his or her job, we will appreciate if we can get assistance on this. We have emailed the LGSETA manager Phumulani Mkhize about this he advised us that the payments will be done in 2 weeks time and its over a week now without any funds, when i did a follow up there was no response from his side, as students we really don`t know how to handle this matter any more. Will appreciate if we can get a specific date when we are getting paid so that we can resume our studies.

In her very busy schedule the CEO takes time to be there for each and every service provider. She is a true leader, its so hard to find a black person in senior position on top of the game as this CEO. This CEO goes all out and she doesn't undermine a single soul whether you are senior or junior. Keep it up Gugu Dlamini-CEO of LGSETA
