very bad hospital and a horrible unprofessional nurse who worked for Leratong hospital and was fired from the but lendmad hospital hired her…. She nearly killed my son … all was well when the other nurses were working until the psychotic nurse came….my son was admitted for for for a week and he was from heather and everything was ok for the past 5days and all was going well, then the nurse called Thlalefo Lelope she came looking very untidy on her day 1 night shift , she tried to make conversation by talking about how tired is she then talked about how she is looking for another job as the is no money where she is ,the funny thing was she was supposed to put oxygen for so the bed was too high so she didn’t know how to unjust the bed to go down so that she can lean with her knee on the bed and put oxygen , she then ask me how to … I was perplex how is this possible the whole nurse , I have few days there but I already how to adjust the bed… I then did , so she was embarrassed she then try to make a conversation as my reaction showed that really a whole nurse does not know how to adjust the bed … so day two she was assisting the child next to my room I heard the baby crying and screaming all of the sudden the baby was vomiting and I heard the mother of the child shouting … she the came to my room later , she then said Yooh did you hear this baby crying , his a spoilt brad he was crying because I had to give him medication via the drip now he just screamed as I put medication and pretended to vomit , and from yesterday I saw that her mom is spoiling this child , cos yesterday I was giving him the pain syrup and he scream and told his mom he does not want to-take the medication , now this… I then said really I did not comment… The next day all was well and my baby was fine the dr came as she usually comes every day and she confirms that my baby is well now and and all is well according to her so she is just waiting for one more test of something but definitely tomorrow we can go home ….so during night shift this nurse came as she usually does during night doing his runs of taking vitals and giving out medication …so she came in and gave my son some medication that he was supposed to drink then she put medication via a drip , different from the way she did , then after some few seconds my baby reacted , he had rush and started to cry , I then ask what did you give my baby today why his having rush and seems like his becoming reddish on his cheek , she said this medication is flushing out dirty this like rush … as we she was saying that my baby had feets I then scream and told her look my baby is changing what did you do , she was relaxed and said no mommy he will be fine , I told her his not I screamed and the lady who normally clean our be she came in and immediately saw my baby was not ok and she shouted the nurse and said the baby is having feet call the the Doctors , she then did and the Nurse manager who was in charge for the ward was no where to be found …she came because she heard that the is an emergency at her ward….the lady who was cleaning helped me and told me to be calm as we were waiting for Doctors and she was holding my son…. So I had a traumatic experience there …I reported the incident to the hospital they apologised and offered me a free psychologist from their hospital , but guess what I attended one session that they have not paid as we speak , and I cannot attend the the other session as I speak ….so the hospital they do not care cos I don’t even know what happened to the nurse cos I did my own research about this nurse and apparently she was fired at leratong hospitals and lenmad has hired her , how.. and this is not the first time this nurse does this the patient that was about to be discharged landed in icu day one in the hands of this nurse of her day one night shift , the lendmed in Randfontein it’s running a circus with our lives , imagine a 1 year baby having feets because of a nurse that was hired by them meaning the is no background check… Im still going to sue this hopsital…
