Based on recent customer reviews, layup is generating significant frustration among customers using its lay-by payment facility across partner retailers such as iStore, WeFix, Cellucity, and Howler. A recurring theme is confusion around terms and conditions, particularly the requirement to complete full payment before receiving goods. Customers consistently mention prolonged refund delays, unresponsive support channels, and unexpected cancellation fees deducted from deposits. While a small portion of feedback highlights ease of use at sign-up, the dominant sentiment reflects dissatisfaction with post-purchase service and dispute resolution.

I made a purchase through Lay-Up payment process without having proper explanation how it works. I made the initial deposit then I got to know how Lay-Up's works then I wanted to settle my account but they always say they are out of stock, now if I cancel the plan they make it my case and want to deduct certain percent. At what circumstances? Who's fault it is to not have a stock?

Unfortunately, I bought something through LayUp without realizing it was a layby option, and after requesting a refund, it’s been taking a very long time to process. It’s now been almost a month of waiting for my refund.

Booked a ticket. Didn't receive any confirmation from the original place i got the ticket for, in which they are informing me that I need to either complete my purchase or cancel the order to start again. The ticket reservation of the original website (Howler) ran out and I received nothing from Howler. Then when I try to contact the customer support, atleast they answered. But you get a rather aggressive person who talks over you and just keeps repeating the same thing over and over again. Not very pleasant support

On 27 Nov I tried to purchase a phone on WeFix and selected the layup option as the method of payment. I had failed to read their terms and conditions which stated that I would only get the phone after all the monthly deductions had been made. I then cancelled the order and requested a refund. I have been sent from pillar to post by this organisation. They have terrible customer service and they just don’t care. I have been literally emailing them daily to request for my refund or an update to no response. I have been texting one of the numbers and was told on the 10th that they money had been made and I should wait for 48hrs. Now it’s the 15th when I called to follow up I get told that I must resend my banking details and that I must wait for 48hrs.?! There’s no apology there’s no owning up to the error just pure arrogance and ignorance . I have all the email communication to prove this pathetic service from this place. To date, 15 December I still don’t have my money

This is the worst financial institution ever. I would not recommend ANYONE use them as a payment method. I ordered an iPhone through iStore, but I canceled the order with iStore first and then requested a cancellation through my LayUp account. I received an email stating one of their team members would get in touch within 24 hours. It's now been over 24 hours with no response from LayUp. I have even tried calling them countless times, but no one answered. I just want my refund.!!
