Obviously, came here to pen my frustration but seeing as they are already rated a 1 star here. Means they are known for being pathetic. I’ve been waiting for my order from 18:26 and only I have not received it at 19:03. Apparently I’m waiting for a Boxmaster

Bought a double crunch meal for my son he held it up to take his first bite when i noticed the bottom bun was full of mould. It was so disgusting to look at let alone eat n hold it. Staff had no name badgers. Managers not helpful. Had to call for service.

I would like to raise a formal complaint regarding the service at your Gateway outlet. Every Sunday afternoon, my family and I make a point of stopping by the store to buy ice cream. Unfortunately, we are almost always told by the staff that the ice cream machine is not working. This has become a recurring issue, and it is extremely frustrating. What concerns me most is that there is never any notice placed at the entrance or inside the store informing customers that the ice cream machine is out of order. Customers only discover this after waiting in line or approaching the counter. I would like to understand the following: • Why does the ice cream machine appear to be out of service so frequently? • What steps are being taken to repair or replace the machine? • Who is responsible for managing this outlet, and ensuring that equipment issues are resolved promptly? • Why are customers not informed in advance when a key product like ice cream is unavailable? This is not the first time I have raised this concern. I previously complained about the same issue in 2025, yet the situation appears unchanged. The staff themselves seem accustomed to telling customers that the machine is not working, which suggests that this has become a normal occurrence rather than an occasional breakdown. As a loyal customer who enjoys visiting your stores with my family, this is disappointing. Consistently arriving at the store only to be told that ice cream is unavailable reflects poorly on the systems, maintenance processes, and customer communication at this outlet. I sincerely hope KFC will take this matter seriously and investigate the ongoing issue at the Gateway store. Reliable service and transparent communication with customers are essential, and I believe improvements are necessary to prevent further disappointment. I would appreciate feedback on what actions will be taken to resolve this matter.

I am sad to say that I am a big fan of KFC however utterly disappointed in KFC specifically the branch in gateway opposite boulevard... Sadly I purchased KFC on the 25th of November and wasted so much of money because all that KFC went straight in the trash.... Mash and gravy which is my favourite thing to eat was sour(so sour) funny joke my sister and I were actually trying to play a guessing game to guess how long that mash and gravy out for because it tasted like three days that's how sour it was.... And after that we became abit hesitant to eat the chicken from there.... That's my experience from KFC branch in gateway

I did a purchase on the 24th of December 2024 and was double charged , I saw my statement in February 2024 and I went to log a complain for a refund was told to email my statement which I did and they said they will Calle after 2 working days once they spoke to head office, I called them after 7 days because they was no feedback and they said they will call me after 10 minutes which they sis not I called again on a different day they dropped the call even now no feedback of my refund for R190.70

Disappointed and dissatisfied with KFC and how they treat there customer's i had ordered two All Star meals and two coke Zeros and received something i didnt not order, they delivered a streetwise one and a coke zero, the customer care clearly couldn't help me. I spoke to the supervisor Nomfundo Hadebe which they say it was a operational issue and it wasn't my fault but i still didnt get what i had ordered. Afer waiting for more than one hour and 30 minutes we could not get to a solution where she had dictated to me that i will get a refund within 24 hours which when i made my payment for a service i didn't receive it was made immediately and i still wait not having a way forward. I requested to speak to a manager and she told me the manager Given Mlonyeni doesn't take escalation annd will couldn't tell me the turn around time. KFC DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS

I would give this establishment a zero if I could because customer service is terrible everyone that works in this kfc is very upset and not friendly. I don't know if they are getting paid well or what but customer service is disgusting not one staff member is friendly I'm definitely not going to eat here again.

I purchased a cola ****a from.Kfc at Gateway on Saturday 21 September 2024 . The cashier gave me a normal straw when I approached her about chaging the straw to the correct ****y straw she said oh . For me at this point was that your very own staff do not know your products. They made me wait 10 minutes for this straw and when I asked what is the delay theu staff all looked at each other mumberling to themselves and ignored me .I had to ask 2 more times then was told I have to wait they getting it from the store room. They had no remorse no apology . I was standing in this line waiting with my 1 year old baby. When I mentioned I am leaving your staff just looked at each other and had a don't care attitude they didn't even ask me to wait This is not how we as clients should be treated it is because of us that your business and opened and that very sam staff have a job. Your Staff just stood around talking to each other. They did not have any sense of customer service. I am absolutely disgusted at their behavior. ARE THESE STAFF EVEN TRAINED.If my comment does not get a response I will be taking this to the highest forum.I could not even drink my drink because the straw that was given to me was for a cool drink and not ****a
