My husband was inside the store actively shopping. I was standing stationary in one corner of the store with my two minor children seated in a shopping trolley. I was not moving through the store, causing disruption, or obstructing staff or customers. I remained inside the store solely due to legitimate safety concerns, as I did not feel it was safe to stand outside alone with two young children. I was instructed by a staff member to leave the store on the basis that trolleys were not permitted. I wish to place on record that no signage was displayed on the store window, entrance, or inside the premises indicating that trolleys are prohibited. This policy was therefore not reasonably communicated to customers. A male staff member acknowledged my safety concerns and appeared understanding; however, he stated that the cashier would “make a noise” if I remained in the store. Shortly thereafter, the cashier spoke sternly and dismissively to her colleague, insisting that we leave the store immediately. No reasonable accommodation or alternative solution was offered. Expecting a parent to leave a retail premises and stand outside alone with minor children is unreasonable, unsafe, and contrary to basic duty-of-care principles, particularly in a high-crime environment. The conduct of the cashier was intimidating and unprofessional and reflects a failure in customer service standards, staff training, and the reasonable consideration of child safety. This treatment caused unnecessary distress and was entirely inconsistent with the standards expected of a national retail brand.

A complaint i made was handled politely by a person with no name who effectively did not defend their brand .They were only interested in me to return to the product to the branch that i purchased the product from.As i travel extensively this was not an option. The response from the person ' with no name " at their HQ was less than satisfactory . When i broke contact with them they did not follow up to see if i was satisfied with their lack of response. I have used their products for many years. I will not in future if this is the level of interest that they exhibit in dealing with clients

I purchased a pair of Hush Puppies school shoes for my child less than a year ago, and I am very disappointed in their durability. Despite being worn under normal conditions (every weekday for the duration of school hours, as is expected for school shoes), they have not lasted even 9 months. When I raised the issue with the company, I was informed that their workmanship policy only covers 6 months and that they cannot be held responsible for how long the shoes last. I find this unacceptable for a brand like Hush Puppies, as school shoes should be manufactured to withstand predictable daily use for a reasonable period. I trusted the Hush Puppies brand for quality and longevity, but this experience has not met expectations. I feel that parents deserve better value for money, especially when buying shoes specifically marketed for school children.
