So disappointed by the most unprofessional lease manager, Pride Majola. We recently experienced a family emergency and had to use the funds available in our transaction account. Because of this, we needed to transfer money from our savings account, which naturally takes a few days to reflect. Before any issues arose, we communicated openly via email to explain the situation, hoping for at least a little empathy and understanding, especially since we have never skipped rent payments or taken advantage of management before. Instead, we received constant payment reminders from the lease manager as if they were automated messages, only to later find out they were being sent personally. To make matters worse, our services were suspended, including my personal internet package. When I questioned this, Pride insisted they were not interfering and told me to contact my internet provider. However, every time my provider restored the connection, it would mysteriously be switched off again almost immediately. This directly affected my work. I lost working hours and missed important meetings because of this unnecessary interference. Rent was not overdue for weeks or months — it was delayed by approximately 7 days due to a genuine emergency. This morning, I sent another email, which was once again ignored until I personally contacted reception and requested to speak with her directly. Instead of listening or handling the matter professionally, the conversation became defensive and dismissive. Suddenly they “couldn’t see” the payment on their system, which is strange considering they had no issue seeing when payment had not yet reflected. I also explained that the payment made was an immediate payment, but apparently there was confusion around what that even means. I resent proof of payment immediately, yet the issue still remains unresolved, and I have now missed yet another important work meeting because I still cannot work properly. What disappoints me most is not only the lack of professionalism, but the complete lack of empathy, fairness, and communication. We were even referred to as “VIP clients,” yet asking for basic understanding during a once-off emergency situation somehow seemed too much. We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for the bare minimum: respect, fairness, communication, and human decency.
